This was a beautiful villa to stay in while in Positano. The views were stunning and the villa was very spacious. There was a lot of history in the Vila which we learned when speaking to the owners. We had everything we needed for a great stay![Guglielmo]

Great place. There is no lift for those who are not mobile but I personally loved the tight spiral staircase - a lot of character and charm. The roof top terrace was the highlight - beautiful views. We had a drink and even breakfast there.. priceless experience The location was amazing - right next to campo dei fiori The host was super efficient.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is wonderful, just steps away from the Pantheon.  We were 4 adults and we were comfortable and happy.  The terrace is really lovely with a great view of the Pantheon.  Our contact person for the apartment was very helpful.  Our flight was very delayed and we kept in close touch with her and she was at the apartment to meet us when we arrived.  We would definitely stay here again.  I should note that it's really only a one-bathroom apartment.  The downstairs bathroom worked fine, although you can only access it through the main bedroom.  For the upstairs bathroom, the shower doesn't work and the toilet  is in such a small enclosure that you have to leave the door open if you want to use it.     Also one of the deck chairs was ripped and needs to be fixed.

The appartment is situated in a very interesting neighbourhood in the centre of Rome. Everything is close by. Beautiful location. The appartment itself is equiped with a nice terrace with a view and has very friendly owners who are very helpful and easy to reach. The season (july) was a bit too hot and the 4th floor is very warm. The airco could not work against the sun... For a couple with children it is a good place, but we came as colleagues and then the second bedroom was not so suited (more a childrens room). The house is friendly and welcoming but maybe also a little bit 'bohemien'... the bathroon can use an update.
We had a very pleasant stay.

Great base for exploring Rome, within walking distance to the Colosseum, and public transport nearly at the door or within a short walking distance. The apartment is spatious, good sound proofing, fitted with air conditioning in all rooms, with all the amenities as advertised. Marco is a friendly and helpful host, made us feel at home. Would stay here again if holidaying in Rome.

Francesca was the perfect hostess--I wish they were all like her!  She is good folk as we say in North Carolina. She was very easy going, kind and thoughtful.  She thought of everything even before I asked for it. I had to extend my stay in Rome by 2 weeks and was hoping to stay in her apartment but it had already been booked.  Francesca even tried to find another place for me.  She cleaned the apt once a week for a nominal fee and did a splendid job.  After her weekly cleanings, everything would be spic and span!  She was very organized and communicated clearly with me when she wanted to schedule a cleaning.  One day I told her that I liked a new bed spread that she used on the bed and asked her where she bought it.  She said she would pick one up for me.  Next week after her weekly cleaning, sure enough a new bed spread was there for me and she would not even accept payment for it but gave it to me as a gift!
The apartment itself was newly redone--fresh paint and appliances, and well-organized.  It is very bright and airy.  Remarkably enough for Italy, it even has screens on the windows, should you choose to use them.  It also so has a splendidly functioning air conditioner system--a rare, luxury in my traveling experience. The kitchen is really not for long stays like mine was but I made do without and oven.  There are an adequate amount of pots and pans, a panini maker, mircrowave and coffee-maker.  The bathroom is a not too small as in many apartments--it actually has a shower that a large-boned American can use.  Water pressure is great,  The single complaint is that the hot water tank is too small to take a hot shower for an adequate length of time--but after a couple of surprise freezes, I figured out how to take a lukewarm shower--this made the warm water last longer.
The bed is very comfortable, the pillows; plentiful and plumpfy.  The bedroom closes up very well at night to reduce noise and light from the outside.  The balconcino off of the salon was good for drying laundry.  The apartment is on the first floor so no need for an elevator.  But it is at street level so smells and sounds waft in easily.   This is not much of a problem as it is not a super busy area.  It is full of life--with shops and residences all thrown in together--even an auto body shop next door and a fully functioning bakery across the street.  The proximity to the Mercato Trionfale makes this 7th Heaven for foodies.  And going to daily Mass is so convenient as there are two neighborhood churches: Parocchia San Giuseppe al Trionfale and Santa Maria Delle Grazie--both excellent, vibrant parishes.  This is an area where one feels comfortable walking even at night--I find it much safer than the typically desirable center of Rome destinations as it is mostly locals and their families.  The apartment is extremely well connected with good bus nearby and the metro 6 minute walk away.

6. Radiadores deteriorados y oxidados, a parte de sucios.

My husband and I had a great time in Rome, and the apartment in via di Ripetta 157 greatly contrubuted to our positive roman experience. The apartment is spacious and full of light; it has a modern and functional kitchen, 2 big bathrooms, and all the comforts a house should have;on top of all this its location is precious: via di Ripetta is close to Piazza di Spagna, Piazza del Popolo, and Piazza Navona. Living in the center of Rome surrounded by all the comforts is exhilirating!!

Our family of 5 adults (my husband and I--in our 70s, two sons, and one daughter-in-law) enjoyed 2 weeks in Rome in this apartment and highly recommend it. The apartment is very well furnished with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a livingroom, and a kitchen, and is just as it is depicted in the photographs. It was perfect for our family as there is plenty of room, and each of us could have a little privacy when we wanted. The kitchen is small, but very adequate with both gas burners and an electric oven, as well as a microwave and a toaster. The cooking pots and pans, dishes, cutlery, glasses, etc. are plentiful. There is also a washing machine for doing laundry. The apartment was clean and well organized, and was a wonderful place to return to after a day out in the city.

The location of the apartment is perfect for seeing the sights of Rome on foot or a combination of walking and metro rides. In a few minutes you can walk to the Roman Forum and Colosseum, as well as other places and museums. A metro stop is only  a short walk away, and there you can take the metro all over Rome, if you like. The Termini train station is also within walking distance. Several supermarkets are closeby for groceries, and there many small restaurants and coffee bars in the neighborhood.

The apartment has television and wifi, and the apartment building has an elevator.

The  owner of the apartment was very helpful and cordial, and was waiting at the apartment when we arrived. He made us feel welcome and "at home," and quickly responded to any questions or concerns we later emailed him about.  He also booked taxis for us to transer from and to the airport, and that little detail helped us a great deal, especially since my husband is now disabled, and it is no longer easy for us to take the Leonardo express train the way we used to do.

So, if you are a family or a small group of friends traveling together, this is a great apartment, and can handle 6 or even 7 people. We would definitely stay there again!

Thank you, Filippo, for helping to make our stay in Roma a memorable one.

Hallo an alle,

Alles was man braucht, ist in direkter Nähe (Bäcker/Einkaufsmarkt/Metro/Bushaltestelle, usw.).

Guglielmo has created an incredible architectural and natural experience throughout this magnificent property. We loved everything about the house, from the sliding windows, fireplace and rooftop terrace to the smell of rosemary along the garden path. Guglielmo went above and beyond for us. He was always available to answer questions or provide recommendations on where to go and most importantly, where to eat. Our son fell ill towards the end of the holiday and Guglielmo was there to help, talking to doctors for us and providing advice on where to take our son to get treated. Guglielmo and the property are a one in a million package and I would highly recommend!!!

Very spacious, would work for a couple of families if needed. One of our favorite places that we stayed in Italy. Large terraces on two levels with ocean views! Convenient location to the center of town. There are lots of steps to get up to the villa but with Pier Guido there to help us, not a problem. We could walk around the corner and access great restaurants and shopping, then a wonderful walk into town and the beaches

We loved the private patio and the space in the apartment. The kitchen was well equipped, although a microwave would be nice. It was very clean and communication and support of the owner was fantastic! The pull-out bed was not what we expected, but given the shape of the room, understandable. Perhaps a full bed in the extra room would be a thought.

As described in the confirmation paper, we called the owner 2,5 hours before our arrival (12:00 h) at the apartment. The owner(Carla Molino) and her family were on holiday and her life partner(Daniel Wuschansky) took our call. It seems to us, that they were surprised about our call and first they had to check whether the apartment was end-cleaned. Finally they arranged the end-cleaning and we were asked to enter the apartment after 13:00 h. As we entered the apartment, we were shocked from the dirtyness(incl. fixer stuff!) of the main entrance(staircase) of the house. We were also very disappointed of the cheap IKEA-furniture, missing towels and very dirty kitchen wipes. For a price of 115,00 € per night you can expect in Berlin a 4 star hotel quality level. The handover of the keys was handled by an employee of the owner. As we wanted to pay, as directed in the guidelines, the remaining part of the rental fee in cash to the employee, he was not willing to take the money, because he did not know the exact amount. So, he asked us to wait another 2 days for owner's direction after their return from holidays. We then have send the owner an email with our points of disappoinment and our mobil number. After the owner and her family returned from holiday, the life partner of her called us and accused us very loud and agressive of breach of rental contract, because we did not pay the remaining rental fee in cash to the owner's employee. As we tried to explain to him, that we wanted to pay, but the employee refused, he did not really listen and threatened with police action to get us out of the apartment. Finally the owner directed her employee to collect the money. We then have send another email to the owner where we expressed our horror of the threat of her life partner and we insisted on an apology, We never got any reaction.
At the middle of our stay we changed the bed clothes and with this we got a new disgusting surprise. The mattress protector sheet was stained and not cleaned or replaced before we moved in. We send another email to the owner describing the situation. Finally the employee of the owner entered the apartment in our absence and brought a fresh mattress protector sheet and a cheap bottle of italian red wine.
We never were contacted personally by the owner or here life partner to apologize for all these shortcomings.
In all our lfe, we never had such a bad experience!

Our host Maria was very helpful. The apartment was comfortable and conveniently located a few minutes from the metro station. The location was in a quiet neighborhood that felt safe. An added bonus was a large park very close by - with a fantastic gelato shop at the other side. Overall, I recommend this property for a comfortable and convenient stay in Rome.

This was our third booking through Cities Reference and once again we were not disappointed.  Both the description and pictures of the apartment were perfectly accurate.  It's a cozy but bright apartment on three levels but we soon got used to the steps between each and the rather steep stairway up to the terrace which was sunny all day. It's in a very central location in Ortigia making sightseeing very easy.  It is also only a few yards from steps leading down to a stony beach where we enjoyed a swim on a couple of occasions.  The owner Luca spoke excellent English and was incredibly helpful.  We were in touch with him direct prior to our arrival and he kindly collected us from the station and introduced us to the apartment.  He gave us lots of information, recommended restaurants etc and, although happily we didn't need to take advantage of this, left us with phone details should we need anything during our stay. The apartment was very clean and the shower room seemed to have been quite recently refurbished. The only reason for giving this a 4-star rather than 5-star rating was that the furnishings were quite old and the kitchen facilities and equipment quite basic. Nonetheless we would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment.

Hello,

I truly enjoyed staying at Marcos apartment 138 in Via Labicana. The very first day we stayed there, he offered us international chargers for our phones, where to wash dishes, dish soap, laundry soap, toilet paper, towels, beds with bed sheets on them, blow dryer, and shower gel. Lastly he offered us wifi for our phones and computers plus pie. Staying at Marcos apartment was a wonderful experience while studying abroad with my classmates, the apartment is really close to the colosseum and other attractions in Rome. Never once was there a problem staying in the apartment. It is very secured and safe for other travelers traveling along with you.

The apartment has excellent traffic connection (Metro 2 min, Colosseum 5 min walkway, etc). It is well equipped, comfortable. However some enhancements could be made (kitchen: add fresh sponge; bath: descale shower head; terrase: some sun protection e.g. umbrella, green flowers, chair cushion)
Altogether I would well recommend the appartman.
