The Quartier Mouffetard is renowned for its officially recognised and protected charms of another ear. A maze of narrow cobbled streets, some wonderful old buildings, miriads of moderately priced restaurants, pavement cafés and most especially the bi-weekly market on the Place Monge, and the daily market at the south end of the rue Mouffetard.
Take time out on a summer evening watching the world go by on the Place de la Contrescarpe just a few minutes away.
