This is an original Hollywood Home! Designed and built in the 1920's and kept up to date by a single family until today. The home was owned by an LA graphic designer, known for her logos and design, and left it to her family for their pleasure - now they want to share it!

Talk about a get away in LA. This rental home is a great retreat for business travelers to come back to after a busy day in the city. Or, if you are looking for a cozy, inspiring or romantic escape away from it all, you've found the right place!

This 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, vintage canyon home in Laurel Canyon is small but big on personality. Built on a hillside in 1923, it hasn't changed much from when the former artist lived in the house. She lived in the house for over fifty years and was very much ahead of her time. She decorated it with furnishings by some new exciting designers of that time. Today we call the style mid-century modern and many of the furnishings are originals from the 50s and 60s. The family not only has kept her style and furnishings intact as much as possible but also her original colors - which are vibrant! The only major renovation that has been done to the house is a recent bathroom remodel.

Step outside to a private and relaxing patio and gaze out over two lovely terraces to enjoy a canyon view. You will also love looking at the native plants in the landscaping and up the hillside. As you feel the quiet and serenity of the canyon, you'll feel worlds apart from the hustle and bustle of LA. It will be hard to believe that Hollywood Blvd and the Sunset Strip is a short three to five minute drive away. A short walk down the hill to Laurel Canyon Blvd. will bring you to the Laurel Canyon Country Store, where the locals hang out on the outside patio drinking coffee in the morning. Has a good vibe. Musicians from the 60s and 70s hung out there, including Jim Morrison of the Doors, who lived in a house right behind the store. The store also has a deli, wine and groceries. Below the store is Pace Restaurant, a hip place with good food and you may even see a celeb or two.

The house accommodates one or two adults and is ideal for those who want to be in a relaxing and inspiring environment, yet be close to shopping, top restaurants and clubs, and all of the activity LA has to offer.

Guests will have access to the entire home. The garage may not be used for parking. However, there is safe parking located in the drive in front of the garage and against the wall below the terrace on the street. Guests will have access to the garage for laundry only.
