This was our third booking through Cities Reference and once again we were not disappointed.  Both the description and pictures of the apartment were perfectly accurate.  It's a cozy but bright apartment on three levels but we soon got used to the steps between each and the rather steep stairway up to the terrace which was sunny all day. It's in a very central location in Ortigia making sightseeing very easy.  It is also only a few yards from steps leading down to a stony beach where we enjoyed a swim on a couple of occasions.  The owner Luca spoke excellent English and was incredibly helpful.  We were in touch with him direct prior to our arrival and he kindly collected us from the station and introduced us to the apartment.  He gave us lots of information, recommended restaurants etc and, although happily we didn't need to take advantage of this, left us with phone details should we need anything during our stay. The apartment was very clean and the shower room seemed to have been quite recently refurbished.The only reason for giving this a 4-star rather than 5-star rating was that the furnishings were quite old and the kitchen facilities and equipment quite basic. Nonetheless we would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment.
