Sophie met us at the winery and drove us to the house, a very tricky drive for a newcomer. The home is full of character and charm and oozes authenticity. We felt immersed in the life of Sablet. Sophie's invitation to tour the winery, her gift of a bottle of wine and her suggestions about the resources in the area, greatly added to our appreciation of the culture of Provence.

Maison de village chaleureuse et bien située. Tout le nécessaire est là pour passer un séjour confortable . C'est un village très mignon avec des habitants accueillants. On a exploré également les villes voisines dans lesquelles nous avons fait de jolies balades.

If your'e looking for slick 5 star accommodation or have difficulty with stairs, this is probably not for you. As a sensitively renovated authentic medieval cottage, it's a perfect base for exploring the area.  Situated in the premier location in the village, adjacent to the church, and right at the summit of the village,  one is awakened to church bells ready to stroll to the nearby boulangerie to pick up croissants for breakfast.  The highlight is Sablet itself, with welcoming shopkeepers, and again, a great blend of the practical everyday with the historic. This village has transitioned to a modern town, without losing its quaintness, and without being frozen in time like some of its counterparts. Our hostess Sophie couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and intuitive to our needs.  Her other life as a proprietor of one of Sablet's better wineries was the icing on the cake. Quaint and cosy, a great place to stay, thank you Sophie.

We had an amazing time staying in Sophie's house. It was the perfect place to stay to experience the lifestyle in Provence. The house provided us with everything we needed, it was very clean and cosy, and the village was very friendly. A magical launching pad for a holiday.
