Liked - Location location location. The property itself was clean, well-managed and functional. Perfect for family of 4 or 5 max. Outstanding customer service by Francesco!
Disliked · Everything was great. One minor thing was the AC - it didn’t cool and the apartment felt warm. Not a big deal because the weather was fantastic.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to host you, you were able to appreciate our hospitality, and I thank you. If I will come to Australia, who knows, I will look for you to greet you like distant brothers who cannot see each other due to the distance. A dear hug to everyone.

We were able to check into the apartment early because no one had rented it the day we were checking in. Serena was very responsive to our questions prior to our visit. The apartment is a across from the Santa Croce church.. perfect location from everything you want to see. The apartment is on the 4th floor which is 100 steps up with no elevator so just be aware of that. It was fine for us as we didn't have groceries or Anything we needed to bring up the stairs on a regular basis. The first trip in with our luggage was a little tiring but then it was fine. We stayed in September so the weather was perfect for no air conditioning. It was cool at night and the breeze was perfect. (No bugs either). I would absolutely stay here again. It was truly a lovely apartment.

This is a lovely holiday apartment furnished in local style, well worth the 99 shallow steps up to it. There is a stair lift for luggage and softies. Looking directly at the Church of Santa Croce, it is very central, a short walk from all the major sites. The owner Serena is very helpful.

Serena was very prompt in answering my questions when I was considering this flat. My husband and I stayed for 9 nights and enjoyed seeing the winter international markets below in the Santa Croce Piazza. I've always wanted to experience Christmas time in Florence and this was the perfect location. The flat was well-equipped and furnished nicely. Annalisa was so sweet when we met her to give us the tour and going over the keys. It is a lot of steps but they really aren't very steep and the view is very worth it. Location is great and Vivoli's is right around the corner for the best gelato! Excellent location! Thank you Serena and Annalisa! Buon Natale!

The appartment is on the 4th floor with no lift so it is quite a climb but well worth it .the view from the lounge is great as it is of st croce basillica. IThere is a very small balcony looking the other way ,just enough space for 1 person . The apparment was well equiped and plenty of extras if needed eg extra pillows or towels. The decoration was good and the place had a homely relaxed feel about it . It is in a good position with most places within easy walking distance

This location really cannot be beat. It's right in the center of town, close to all the major attractions. We passed the condo several times as we toured the city. Gorgeous apartment with tasteful decorations. Only thing I feel compelled to point out is that "Michela" is not the owner but just the Internet sales agent. We never met her or the owner, and it was a little bit confusing upon arrival when some other lady greeted us. Other than that, it was a fabulous experience and we would certainly return if we are ever again in Florence.

This apartment is wonderful. If you can handle 10 flights of stairs, book this apartment.
It is in a great location with beautiful views and furnished to the highest standards. Everything you could possibly need is provided. Thanks.

Living in this apartment is like living in a historical penthouse - you have wonderful views in all directions and the most amazing view on Santa Croce. Viewing it at sunrise or sunset was a special highlight of my trip to Florence. Apartment is quite big, bright and very comfortable. There is absolutely everything there that you could need during the stay. Stairs were not a problem, I actually liked climb them as this process diminished my guilt after eating so much ice-cream. Annalise is very helpful and charming. Serena responses immediately on any questions. Would recommend this apartment and happily rent it again

Beautiful apartment in the heart of Florence, a stone's throw from one of the most vibrant Piazzo's in the city. The apartment was in wonderful condition and such unique stylings. The apartment's format was great for a group to chat an relax after a long day of site-seeing. Would endlessly recommend it to anyone with a large group looking for a highly accessible location in an active part of the city.

I stayed at this flat in Florence for 11 nights. Although I booked through Cities Reference the flat was managed by Tuscan Feeling, a property management company in Florence and all my dealings upon and after arrival were with Tuscan Feeling. The flat was very spacious and clean and looked like the photos in the listing. When my new laptop would not recognize the Wi-Fi modem in the flat, Tuscan Feeling sent someone over to fix the problem- which was remedied professionally and promptly. The street facing 2 of the bedrooms and the living room was heavily travelled and there was quite a bit of honking and revving of motorcycle engines even at night- so much that it made it impossible to sleep with the windows open. This was a problem because, when I checked in, the rental agent showed me the thermostat regulating the heat and said it was not to be touched- in fact there was a big “do not touch” sign above it. I asked how I was to adjust the temperature if I wasn’t comfortable and he said they were sure it was set at the “proper temperature”. However, I found the apartment uncomfortably warm at night but could neither adjust the temperature nor open the windows because of the street noise. After I got settled I noticed that the kitchen appliances were not plugged in and the plugs didn’t fit the wall outlets- they all needed adapters. I called Tuscan Feeling and was told to look around the apartment and I would find an adapter somewhere and I could just move that one adapter from toaster to coffee maker to microwave as I needed to use them. I found this response unsatisfactory and after much discussion I insisted that they send over 3 adapters- which they finally did. Although these were small issues, there were numerous instances that indicated that Tuscan Feeling did not pay attention to maintaining the flat- for example- a light out in the bathroom (there were two baths so I just used the other one), so many light bulbs out in the kitchen ceiling fixture that I had to bring a lamp in from another room to be able to read at the table, the drapes in the livingroom were half off the drapery rods which made the room look shabby, no soap of any kind in the flat- no laundry detergent for the washing machine, no soap for dishes in the kitchen, no soap of any kind in either bathroom- I had to go to the store before I could wash my hands after arrival. I didn’t bother to contact Tuscan Feeling about these issues because dealing with the person about the adaptors for the appliances had been so unpleasant. Although none of these issues alone were major, there are now many apartments available to rent and I would probably not rent a flat managed by Tuscan Feeling again. I have rented other flats in Italy where the owner or agent was concerned about the convenience and comfort of the renter and paid attention to the details of maintenance -my experience with Tuscan Feeling indicated that it is not such an agency. However, I want to add that I have booked flats through Cities Reference numerous times and the people there have been a pleasure to deal with- professional, efficient and responsive to customer questions and issues. I intend to continue to use Cities Reference to book my flats on future visits, I just will try to avoid flats managed by Tuscan Feeling

What an interesting place to stay in Florence! As you can see from the pictures, it's an extremely unique apartment. We chose this for our one night in Florence, knowing it would be our most unique lodging experience. Michela was an excellent host regarding communication - prompt and clear. We met 2 of her colleagues at the apartment, who let us in and were very friendly and helpful in understanding the lay-out and giving us tips on what to do in Florence. The apartment is quite old, which adds to its charm. There are so many interesting details, with an ornate decor. The apartment feels a bit dark, but I suggest opening up the windows in the sitting room to let in light. With the window open at night, you can hear the music from the piazza, which adds to the charm. The location of this apartment is amazing. It is only a block from a piazza with restaurants, music, shops, and a carousel. We were able to walk around in the evening to many beautiful and historic places...and ate a lot of great food!

The location of this unit was unbeatable! When putting together our itinerary there were places that were listed as under a minute walk and it was true! The apartment is very unique and hard to get a feel for the layout in photos but trust when I say that it is very large and would very comfortably accomodate a large family with plenty of privacy. It was very quiet but if you wanted to hear the music and activity down below all you have to do is open the windows. Michela was very accommodating and responded quickly to my (many) messages. We had some special requests because we traveled with a toddler and she helped arrange everything for us. Just a note that there is only a washer but that is pretty standard in Italy. The wifi was on the slower end but again, that seems to be what we have found in all places we've stayed in Italy so far. If you are a gourmet chef and are planning on cooking all of your meals, the kitchen probably isn't for you but it can handle the basics. All in all, a nice stay but if you are looking for the best, central location--this is it!

Stunning appartment, lots of light, really comfortable and great views in all directions.Really comfortable bed, well supplied kitchen. There is a supermarket and also the central market with lots of takeaways just round the corner and restaurants just outside the front door. It's within a very short walking distance of all the major sites in florence. Andrea who checked us in and out is really helpful and friendly, the process works very smoothly. Cities reference are also fantastic, very efficient helpful and freindly. We will be coming back and would not wish to stay anywhere else in Florence

When we first got to the apartment I was thinking maybe I had made a mistake not being right in downtown Florence. The apartment is clean, comfortable, spacious and has nice views but we weren't right where everything was in Florence. After the first day of being in Florence though I was so glad to be where we were at. It was just a short light rail ride away from where everything is happening in Florence but it is a much calmer slower place without so many tourists. We could come home after a day of wandering around to a place that we could just decompress and relax. Alessandro was so helpful in getting us situated, he pointed out local events and was available for any questions we had. We look forward to the next time we can stay at Alessandro's place!

The apartment is comfortable, cozy, clean and well organized. It's about 20min from the central train station and Florence city center, and is located in a very quiet zone, a few steps away from the tram station that leaves about every 5min. It's very well connected.
I think this apartment is really a great place to stay, we had a wonderful time here and Alessandro was very polite and helpful and made sure that were good and had everything we needed. I absolutely recommend this place to stay!

Great apartment and location., by: Jean Kathmann, 30/Jun/2013 (regarding a stay in June 2013)
We loved sitting on the balcony at night and looking at the tuscany hillsides with downtown Florence in the distance. The WiFi worked excellent; the kitchen had plenty of cooking utensils; it was an easy walk to the tram to travel to downtown Florence; the apartment owner was very prompt in meeting any inquiry or need we had. The description of the apartment provided by the owner was very accurate. We recommend staying here.

On the downside, the apartment is tiny, but this is more than compensated for by its ideal location. I would stay there again.

We rented the apartment for more than one month because my wife was expecting and I wanted my son to be born in Florence. It was a great experience, the apartment was very comfortable and Alessandro helped to make our stay just perfect. The area is residential and quiet. The "tramvia" offers a perfect connection with the center of Florence and it's few minutes walk from the apartment. I will reccommend it to everybody.

Alessandro's apartment is very convenient to Florence's city center. After arriving at the main train station, we made a right turn, walked outside and found the tram platform and ticket dispenser. We bought three tickets for less than six euros and rode the tram about 25 minutes to the Resistanza stop where Alessandro met us. From there it was only a three-minute walk to the apartment building. The apartment is quite spacious — perfect for the three of us. We used the washer to wash a load of clothes and hung them on the rack provided. We bought groceries around the corner and dined in a couple of nights. The Internet connection was fast and allowed our teenager to continue her online classes. This was our best experience yet using a vacation rental property.

Great place to stay in Florence. Right on the T-1 tram line, which gets you to the heart of Florence in 15 minutes at a cost of one Euro. The apartment is spacious, clean, modern, safe, convenient. Perfect place to stay. Great value.
