Great place to stay! This was our first trip to Italy (and our first trip out of the country) and we have nothing but great things to say about where we stayed! When we arrived from the airport we were met by Maria and her husband who were great hosts and showed us around the apartment and helped us get settled in. Everything was exactly as advertised and we could not have been happier! If you are looking to explore Rome, this apartment is in a perfect location to walk to many of the sites, as well as a great selection of shopping and local restaurants. We would love to stay here again and have already recommended it to family that are looking to travel to Rome next spring! Thank you for an amazing vacation Maria and Cities Reference!
This apartment is a jewel. Modern, nicely decorated, quiet and comfortable. It's in an excellent location near Ile de la Cite, the Louvre and the Latin Quater, with great restaurants 1 or 2 blocks away.
This apartment was a great place to stay for our first trip to Rome! The apartment was just as advertised - very nicely decorated, spacious and has a great view of Castel St. Angelo. The location is great (just blocks from the Vatican) and we were able to walk everywhere.
The apartment was clean and well equipped with kitchen supplies, extra sheets/towels, etc. The wireless internet worked great and allowed us to keep in touch with friends and family during our trip. There was plenty of hot water and the washing machine worked well. The owner left a nice welcome packet with restaurant suggestions and lots of other helpful information about Rome.
Overall we were extremely pleased with this apartment. We had a wonderful stay and we would stay here again on another trip to Rome!

Una casa histórica situada en una calle tranquila del barrio del Trastevere. Localización perfecta, hemos ido andando a todos lados. La dueña, Fabia, encantadora. Lo peor, quizás, el baño, porque se sale el agua de la ducha, pero la verdad es que hemos estado muy muy cómodos.

Absolutely Fantastic!!!!! The apartment was spotless......the attention to detail perfect.........pick-up-return of keys effective-simple no problem....our only problem was leaving!!!!!!! Can`t wait to go back.....already planning next trip.

Points positifs de l'appartement :
-très bien situé dans Lisbonne, dans une ruelle du Bairro alto proche du Chiado, à deux pas de la Place Luis de Camoes où passent le tramway, les bus et des taxis;
-le quartier est aussi très animé, beaucoup de restautants et de bars, ainsi que des maisons de fado;
-les doubles-vitrages sont efficaces par rapport au bruit ambiant, aucun souci pour dormir;
-Appartement cosy, propret, fonctionnel et neuf; Cuisine bien équipée, literie de bonne qualité (et le clic-clac du salon est immense).
Points négatifs:
-malgré sa surface de 50 m2, sa disposition fait qu'il paraît petit, et comme il est bas de plafond, on peut facilement s'y sentir "serré". A deux c'est bien, à 4 on se marche dessus. La salle de bain est également petite, même si elle a tout ce qu'il faut;
-l'escalier pour monter au premier étage est extrêmement pentu, on n'est pas loin de l'échelle!
-c'est secondaire mais lors de notre passage, la télé ne marchait pas.
En conclusion, excellent rapport qualité-prix pour un long we à deux, plus difficile à 3 ou 4 et si l'on s'attend à quelque chose de luxueux ou de spacieux.

We stayed in this apartment for 4 nights. The booking process was very easy and the apartment was as advertised. Spacious kitchen, bathroom, and 3 large bedrooms. There were 4 of us so plenty of space. There is a smaller room with washer and toilet. The apartment was clean and well furnished. The keyholder was waiting at the building and was very helpful in showing us the apartment, making sure we could open and close the large door, and telling us things around the area. It was great staying in a non-tourist community. Great Cafe right next door and a Supermarket only 2 minutes away. We were about a 10 minute walk to the Colleseum and 15-20 minute walk to the Termini. This apartment was perfect for us. The only suggestion is to have more coffee mugs (there were only 3) if renting to North Americans- we love our big coffee/tea.
This was the first time we used Roman Reference but definitely not our last and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

My family of 5 enjoyed our time in this apartment. It is extremely well located with fresh fruits, pastries and coffee available in the Campo de Fiori in the morning and good restaurants lining the Campo at night. It is also a very short walk to Piazza Navona and various bus lines to other parts of the city. The apartment was as advertised and clean and the air conditioning worked well. The bedroom with twin beds and bathroom upstairs worked very well for our teenagers. The sofa bed in the living room was OK but not great; it actually worked better to sleep in the couch without pulling it out into a bed. Mrs. Claudia was good about making sure there was linen for the sofa bed and enough towels. Be aware that the apartment, like many in Rome, is up a couple of flights of stairs.. I appreciated Luigis recommendations of restaurants and he was very helpful (via email) as we were getting ready to come; helping us with transportation from the airport. Overall a great place in a great location for your time in Rome.
Great location. For a family the shower and pot privacy is not great since they are together. So getting ready is a sequential event in the morning particularly if you have young tired children! Apartment does not have a microwave!!! Walking distance from all attractions of Rome!

It has been a marvelous stay!!! The location is wonderful - app.200 meters to Vatican Museums, 15 mins walk to St.Peter's Square. And this Roman Market with everything so fresh we couldn't resist visiting it twice a day ;-) And breakfasts on the terrace... just perfect! Even though it is by the quite busy street it is very quiet and well isolated.
We fully recommend it to everybody who wishes to visit Rome (also for the honeymoon :) )!

The best place to start sightseeing of Rome. Everywhere is closely: Colosseum, Forum Romanum and even to go on foot to Trastevere (ca. 1h) at night to drink alcoholic beverages and amuse and to go back on foot - if you'll be able to do it ;) The flat has enough place for 10 people (sleeping and eating). It would better to have for disposal more caps for tee or coffe. For 4 people is enough but for ten ... we were forced to struggle for them :) I think, the photos were done few years ago, because it looks no more so "fresh". Nonetheless, I reccomend the flat.

Nous sommes arrivés de nuit ( à 21h00 à l'aéroport Fiumicino + 50 mn de car pour rejoindre la gare Termini + 15mn à pied pour rejoindre l'appart ). Nous pensions devoir payer une taxe pour les arrivées tardives, mais que néni le proprio,joint au téléphone, nous avais gentilment laissé les clefs sous la paillasson. Au contraire un belle bouteille de vin nous attendait sur la table a l'entrée pour nous souhaiter le bienenue. Le studio est trés sympa et la terrasse à l'étage un réel bonheur lors des petits déj ou des fin d'aprem détente/ apéro. Il est trés bien situé, à 5mn de l'arrêt de métro Cavour et à 10 mn à pied du Colisé. Rien à redire si ce n'est que je vous le conseil vraiment.

Beautiful apartment, excellent location (central, but on a quieter street), very friendly and helpful owner. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and well set up for actually cooking.

Lovely apartment with plenty of space for two people, and the location is fantastic. Great neighbourhood close to attractions, but quiet at night. Lots of good eating places within walking distance - owner made good recommendations for places that are genuine and not touristy. Bakery just a block away is fantastic. Owner very friendly and helpful. Well-equipped modern kitchen. The facilities are modern but the building itself is old and a bit rustic, but that adds to the charm. My only negative is the shower cubicle is a little cramped for a tall person. Overall excellent though. We'll definitely stay here next time we are in Rome.
We very much enjoyed the good treatment we had from Cities Reference, including helpful Vemmy Enzo, and the excellent apartment 151. It was in a wonderful location with terrific access to the huge Villa Borghese park, one of the nicest in the world (and we live across from Central Park); the apartment was very quiet and restful, well supplied and with a fine radio tv hi fi set up. The building is beautifully maintained; the owner very concerned with our needs. There is good shopping in two nearby supermercati, the second underground going to Spanish steps. Both are good. Also you are quite near an underground station, which much of attractive Rome is not. Restaurants can be too expensive so watch out, esp. on the Veneto; but there are some friendly ones around the corner and a fine pizza take out and fine caffe across the street. Cash advance two blocks up Veneto on the left; 250 E maximum. Altogether attractive; of course not inexpensive.
Die Wohnung befindet sich an einer guten Lage neben der Piazza Navona. Sie eignet sich am Besten für zwei Personen, da das Schlafzimmer ruhig ist. Das Wohnzimmer mit der Küche ist jedoch laut, da sich vor dem Haus eine Bar befindet, die sehr gut Besucht wird. Die Toilette ist neben dem Schlafzimmer. Könnte auch ein Störfaktor bei mehreren Personen sein. Deshalb empfehle ich sie für zwei Personen. Die Lage ist super und der Preis ist in Ordnung.
Die 4 Sterne betreffen die Wohnräume. Jedoch sollte man bemerken, dass es zu wenig Platz für die Aufbewahrung von Kleidung gibt, weil die Schränke mit Staubsauger, Bügelbrett, Eimern und anderem Putzgerät bestückt sind.
Die Bäder sind sehr klein, um nicht zu sagen winzig und für Menschen ab einer Körpergröße von 1,80 m unzumutbar. Das Duschen ist dann nur mit eingezogenem Kopf möglich.
Hier würde ich nur 2 Sterne vergeben wollen!

Spędziliśmy rodzinnie (2 osoby dorosłe, córka 12 l, syn 17 ) wspaniały tydzień w Rzymie w wynajętym mieszkaniu - apartamencie, który oceniam jako bardzo dobry (4+), choć łazienka wymaga trochę "make up". Polożenie tuż przy Koloseum daje możliwość zwiedzania Rzymu nawet pieszo. Apartament czysty i wygodny. W pełni wyposażona kuchnia ze zmywarką i pralką. Klimatyzacja , TV. Na dole, kilika kraków w stronę Koloseum znajduje się sklep Carrefour Express czynny codziennie 8-20, w niedziel do 19.30 . Właściciele apartamentu bardzo mili i uczynni.

Everything in the pictures and guest comments is as we found the apartment as well. I would underscore the excellent location that allowed easy walking to the attractions, the lively street scene around this old renaissance quarter and that City Reference' service was reliable and responsive. With farmers markets, carrefours, specialty food stores close by, and restaurants everywhere, eating in or out is simple. There's also a lavanderia around the corner.
Situation of the apparment is really TOP ! Totally central.

The appartment has a lack of sun and it would be really convinient to have a internet connection (really usefull for tourists visiting a foreign city).

Excellent service from Maria the key holder whose advice in good English was most welcome. A nice apartment in a residential area with nearby supermarket, bars, restaurants and with good transport links into the city centre (Trams 5 & 14 direct to Termini station). Whist the linen, the bed, the toilet and kitchen sink areas were clean the apartment generally was in a poor state of cleanliness and much in need of refurbishment. The room terrace was very spacious and was an excellent area for eating and drinks in the evening however the provision of a further sun lounger would have been welcomed. Overall the apartment was very good value and we very much enjoyed our stay.

Nice couple of days stay. Good location near old town and especially Colosseo. Very pleasant host. I can recommend!
The entryway looks like the building is being demolished. The lock on the apartment door was impossible and we finally just stopped using it. We've never experienced a shower with no door or curtain and that made showering without spraying the whole bathroom very difficult. Both the bed and the couch were very hard. There was one tiny towel in the kitchen and no sharp knife and no microwave. Also no wifi. The only blanket for the couch ws a huge down comforter. The terrace upstairs (which was the biggest factor for us in selecting this unit) had one plastic chair and one chair with no arms that was very uncomfortable so we ended up spending very little time there. The unit was quiet, very clean and very well located.
You cannot go wrong with this location! Just off of Campo dei Fiori, you are in walking distance of main attractions. The piazza has a great farmer’s market during the day and a great people watching venue at night with the nightlife. We walked everywhere, including the Coliseum and Vatican. The apartment is along a quiet side street with local craftsmen shops open during the day. The apartment gave you a true Rome experience. We were a group of four women and we worried about our safety and the place felt very homey. We found the location to be incredibly quiet and had the feeling of being “removed” even though we were so close to the action. Having two bathrooms was a priority with four women. We didn’t use the kitchen at all for our 3 night stay, but it seemed to have everything we would have needed, including an espresso maker and espresso. Luigi was super responsive and easy to reach. I will definitely stay here again if I get the opportunity and everyone in my group felt the same way. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Apartment is excellent located in a very nice area of Rome. Easy to travel by subway, walk to colloseum, take the hop on /hop off bus.
Apartment is OK to stay with 5 persons. Only 1 bathroom available. Furniture is a bit old. Lots of restaurants do go for a very nice italian dinner.

Location: excellent; within 20-25 min walking you can reach any historical sites and other interesting spots.

- propreté très approximative (revêtement plastique très sale sur le meuble de rangement de la vaisselle, vaisselle pas très propre, couverts rangés dans un pot métallique au fond douteux, pas d'alèze pour le canapé-lit)
- rideau de douche trop court et ça c'est vraiment très désagréable
- pomme de douche en hauteur, impossible à décrocher, et en mauvais état (joint qui fuit)
- bac à douche trop petit : il faudrait supprimer le bidet, inutile, et agrandir la cabine de douche qui pourrait être très agréable
- plaques de cuisson très lentes, trop vieilles ?
- éclairage au dessus de la table très mal placé

This apartment was very clean, comfortable and spacious for our family of five. Not only was it in a very safe area but also in the best possible location if you plan on walking to see every site, which you can do easily. The front door is only a 30 second walk to one of the best squares in Rome, as far as resting with a glass of wine after a long day of walking, is concerned. The owner and property manager were not only extremely nice but answered our e-mails promptly and were waiting, on time, at our door when we arrived. What else is there to say - great place and we will be back.

The apartment is located into an ancient church's building, the owner is an antique dealer, so if charm is what you're looking for you found it.
The location is the best possible in Rome ancient center (via giulia).
Drawbacks: I found it rather dark to be frank and for sure it's no good for children or people with mobility issues since there are stairs etc.
All in all I recommend it

Il manque des chaises, des verres et des couverts si l'on veut dîner à 10.
manque de clarté sur les frais d'arrivée tardve : nous avons du payer 10€ en + des 30€ prévus initialement, sans aucune raison. et aussi manque de clarté sur l'horaire et les conditions de check-out...
En bref, à recommander pour une courte durée, où l'on passe peu de temps à l'appartement et attention aux problèmes de communication avec la propriétaire...

I really enjoyed my stay - the appartment is delightful and very quiet. There was everything I needed to enjoy my break and local transport is excellent

The location of the apartment is very good and the apartment itself is huge, with large french windows. It could do with a little maintenance on the shower though, and some of the floor tiles are loose.
There are 69 steps up the apartment, something I certainly didn't comprehend when it said it was on the fourth floor, but it wouldn't put me off booking.

l'appartement est un peu loin du centre historique, mais entre le tram et le bus ça va. Il est agréable, calme, sa terrasse est un petit bonheur après avoir arpenté les rues toute la journée. par contre nous avons du refaire toute la vaisselle qui n'était vraiment pas propre. Je pense que ce petit point négatif peut être facilement arrangé.

The apartment is well furnished and superbly located a 5 minute walk from Roma Termini. Even late at night it is convenient to reach due to its close proximity to Termini. Unlike the common perception the location of this apartment is safe. There is a supermarket closeby which helped. The point going in favour of this apartment is that the owner lives there too hence all amenities and furnishings are great. The building has an elevator hence you need not lug your bags up. Good value for money.
This is an ideal location for exploring the city sights :). Clean, nice and comfortable. Very nice owner. Happy tourists from Poland.
The apartment was very convenient and comfortable for the three of us. The decor was lovely and exactly as pictured in the photos. A little noisy with traffic but not bad. When we arrived it felt damp and there was a musty smell but we left the door open for the evening and sprayed under the kitchen sink with disinfectant and then it seemed fine after that. The WiFi is very good and the fluorescent lights in the window make it look like sunshine even if there is not much natural light coming in the window. We appreciated Paola's efforts in locating the apartment and the owner making it available on short notice.
Plus: Location was very good, steps to metro, bakeries and grocery stores, we also walked to many places. Nearby park and playground handy for kids. Quiet and safe. Michelle was very nice and helpful. A bit of a tight fit for 3 but would have been fine for 2. Don't plan on using the laundry machine unless absolutely necessary since clothes take 3 days to dry. Only cons were the staircase and pretty bad mold in the bathroom. Also TV did not work very well, fortunately there is wireless so you can watch shows on your computer instead. Might consider it again but not definitely.
Ce as putea sa spun despre apartament? Este situat la 10 minute de Colosseum deci foarte aproape de majoritatea obiectivelor turistice si de statii de autobuz si metrou.. Este un apartament excelent pentru trei cupluri cum am fost noi. Am gasit o curatenie exemplara si niste gazde nemaipomenite. Ne-au intampinat cu prajituri si vin si ne-au explicat clar cum sa ajungem la diferite obiective si ne-au recomandat cateva restaurante din apropiere. Deci a fost o vacanta la Roma asa cum ne-am dorit iar apartamentul il recomand din toata inima.

This was our second stay here. It is in a perfect location: within 15 minutes of the Vatican, the Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, and the Campo di Fiore. Also, it is very quiet. The host is very attentive and responsive to our needs. Finally, the view from the roof top terrace is lovely.
