My partner and I stayed in Federico's studio loft for a week in late November. The place is a great base for site-seeing in downtown Rome. Federico, the keyholder, was great and both he and his housekeeper, Signora Rada, were ready to help if anything went wrong (we had a bit of a problem with the heater the first night, which was quickly resolved).

The apartment is very small, but it was perfect for what we needed as two twenty-somethings experiencing Rome on a budget. The kitchenette allowed us to save a bit of money by preparing our breakfasts and lunches in the apartment. My only suggestion would be to add a cutting board or two, and maybe some equipment for cleaning (although had we asked, that very well may have been provided).

I do think it's important to note that the apartment's one window opens onto the street. While it isn't a busy street, there is some noise from trash collection, etc. That didn't bother us too much, as the mattress was extremely comfortable, and we slept very well otherwise.

I wouldn't think twice about staying in this apartment again or recommending it to friends.

Our stay at Via Capo d'Africa #50 was very nice.  Visiting Rome was a highlight for 2011; so much to see and do. The apartment, while small, is very efficient and well-maintained by Frederico and family.  I loved the street and surrounding neighborhood.  Great little restaurants nearby (Luzzia, Di Roni(sp.?) Pizza).  We had a small problem wtih the shower and it was solved right away. My overall rating for the rental: Good to Excellent.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Colosseo partment in Rome. Although the apartment was only 2 minutes from the Colosseum the area was not overly touristy  and we really got a sense of living in the city, able to buy bread from a bakery round the corner and self-cater from the local supermarkets. Federico our host made us feel very welcome and recommended excellent local restaraunts such as Luzzi, where staff were friendly and fun, food was delicious and prices were reasonable. The apartment is compact but had everything we needed, was clean and a perfect base for walking round Rome.

Apartment was small but very clean and fully functional. Just right for 2 people. Location was great. 5 minutes walk to the Colosseo metro station. Owner Federico is very friendly and accomodating. He was quick to respond when there was a problem with the heater in the apartment. Overall, great first experience in Rome. The city is beautiful, and it was wonderful to come back to a nice warm place. I recommend this apartment!

It had everything we needed. Granted, it was small but Rome is big and we spent most of the 13 days out and about. We would rent this apartment again.

Except for the lack of safe (which I am aware of) and the shower that runs out of hot water occasionally (maybe because I take long hot showers before my fiancee), Federico (the owner) is really prompt in attending to our enquiries and we were happy staying there for a week because of the good location and his responsiveness.

es hat mir sehr gut gefallen bei Euch, klein aber fein. Federico ist ein guter Gastgeber, veramente H&H, head and heart! Das einzige, was fehlt, ist eine Spaghettipfanne! Aber ohne ging es auch.

While the apartment is quite small, it is clean, well kept, located near the Metro and many Roman tourist locations. The apartment owner (Federico) was very helpful and treated my wife and I very well. The shower and air conditioning worked very well.

Die Wohung ist zwar sehr klein aber ausgezeichnet! Wären da nicht die Glas und Papier-behälter direkt vor dem Fenster könnte man locker 5 Sterne geben. Der Vermitter ist PRIMA!!! Die Umgebung SUPER!!! In der Nähe Lebensmittelgeschäfte und Restaurants. Nicht weit das Metro. Die Lage echt sehr gut! Wohnung klein aber sehr sehr gemütlich. Das Bett sehr bequem. Man ist direkt in der Stadt aber doch ist da schön ruhig. Nur wen die Behälter geleert werden wird es richtig laut. Aber das ist nie lange und man freut sich, daß in Rom ziemlich sauber ist. Genissen Sie die schöne Tage in Rom!
