APARTMENT & BUILDING INFORMATION

The Elysee-Chaillot apartment is a charming, elegant & high standing 69 square meters 1 Bedroom apartment, which is ideally located at the 5th floor (out of 7 floors) of a luxurious building located in Rue de Chaillot (16th arrondissement). 

It sleeps up to 4 people. The exhibition is ideal: South-east, wich means sunny.

The 20th century building (designed by a French famous architect in 1980) is equipped with : 2 freshly renovated & large elevators leading to the apartment, 2 exits (a direct one leading outside & another one stopping by the lobby) and a main & luxurious lobby/reception (similar to hotels) with professional guardians & concierges available 24/7, who will be happy to assist you for any request. The building, the area & the apartment are extremely safe/secured.

The Elysee-Chaillot apartment is "Disabled" friendly & perfect for families with children. It is spacious and well equipped. Its 2 terraces will make you enjoy one of the best districts of Paris : a lovely partial Eiffel tower view in addition to a Rue de Chaillot view, one of the most outstanding in the neighborhood.

There is a daily building maintenance & cleaning with a special team dedicated to that.

The building has also a private & pleasant garden, specially reserved for its inhabitants/residents.

LOCATION : An exclusive residential building In the heart of the "Golden Triangle" in Paris

This apartment is ideally located in rue de Chaillot in the 16th arrondissement (district), only a 100 meters walking from the 8th arrondissement (district). It is less than 6 minutes walking to Champs Elysees & less than 2 minutes walking to the famous Avenue Marceau which leads to the Arc de Triomphe (at the top of the Champs Elysees). It is close to the well known Place du Trocadero from which esplanade is the most beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars.

Close to the apartment you will be able to visit the famous “Palais de Tokyo”. It is also next to the “Pont de l’Alma”. The building is located in a chic district in the "triange d'or" ("golden triangle") : Alma-Marceau is a historic district that has become the place to be seen for stars and young, trendy Parisians. A chic, trendy district in the heart of Paris Halfway between the Champs-Élysées and the Eiffel Tower, Alma-Marceau is now among Paris' most exclusive districts.

Stars and businesspeople spend time sipping coffees and enjoying after-work drinks. Avenue Montaigne is lined with many of the capital's luxury and haute couture boutiques: Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Nina Ricci, Chanel, and more. Together with Avenue des Champs-Élysées & Avenue George V, Alma Marceau is part of Paris's "triange d'or" ("golden triangle"). You will find mainly high-end stores, banks, embassies and luxury hotels such as the 5 star Plaza Athénée. Stars meet up at the Café des Théâtres on Avenue Montaigne, while bohemian types favor Bert's, a contemporary café on Avenue du Président Wilson.

Very close to the apartment, visitors can't resist a visit to the famous Crazy Horse Saloon, a well-known erotic cabaret copied the world over. An emphasis on history and art The Pont de l'Alma, built by Napoleon III in 1856, leads to the left bank of the Seine. 

The famous Alma tunnel, where Princess Diana met her untimely end in 1997, also runs through the district. On Place de l'Alma, the Flame of Liberty, a gift from the United States to France in 1989, has become a place where people come to pay their respects to the late princess.

Despite its age, Alma-Marceau is a happening district where some of Paris's major museums can be found, including the Palais de Tokyo (modern and contemporary art) and the Musée du Quai Branly (African, Asian, Oceanic, and Native American art). On the left bank of the Seine, near the Pont de l'Alma, the Musée des Egouts Parisiens (Paris Sewer Museum) offers a less glamorous but equally extraordinary visit!

ACCESS 

Easy access: The Chaillot building is perfectly served by several metro/subway lines, buses and RER (trains) nearby.

    5 minutes walking from Champs Elysees (George 5 station & Champs-Élysées-Clémenceau station served by line 1), 3 mins walking from Alma Marceau (served by line 9), 3 minutes walking from Iena station (served by line 9), 8 minutes walking from Trocadero (served by line 9) , 7 minutes from Boissière (served by line 6) 

    A few minutes walking to main Parisian buses  : 92, 80, 82, 42, 63, 32, 30

NEIGHBORHOOD & AMENITIES

In the neighboring streets, there all sorts of services: French Bakery, Butchery, Supermarket, Open air market, Theater, Restaurants (with all sorts of cuisines and budgets including Chinese, French, Italian, Lebanese...), French Cafés, Doctors and private hospital, Drugstore, post office, various stores, theatre (e.g. Chaillot theater), Museums ( e.g. Guimet Museum), Lavatory with washing machines & dryers (only 30 seconds walking from the building - 10 machines and 4 dryers) ...

Being located in a street will make you benefit from a calm neighborhood. In the same time, being in Paris center will make you enjoy the entertained places (Champs Elysees, Alma Marceau, Trocadéro ...). 

LIVING ROOM

The 25 square meters living room has a bay window facing street and leading to the terrace. It is equipped with: dining table for 6 people, 2 single leather & high quality sofa beds, coffee table, cable, TV, DVD player, VCR, Wi-fi Internet, hard wood floor, quality dining table with 6 chairs, movies (VCR & DVDs) ...

An intercom is available in the apartment & used to communicate with the guardians & open the building entrance door (from the apartment).

KITCHEN

The kitchen is equipped with : electric burner, extractor hood, kitchen utensils, tiled floor, plates, Glasses, Cooking Utensils, Fridge, Freezer, Oven, Microwave, Kettle / water-boiler, Coffee Maker, toaster, Kitchen hood (to avoid food smell) (...).

BEDROOM

The bedroom has a window facing street and leading to the terrace . It is equipped with: double bed (1.40m), 2 bedside tables, hard wood floor, a large library with books (…)

BATHROOM & SEPARATED TOILETS

The bathroom is equipped with: washbasin, bathtub with showerhead, tiled floor, bidet 
 ... There is also one separated toilet inside the apartment. The floor is made in high quality marble.

TERRACES, CORRIDOR, OTHER FACILITIES 

From the living room terrace, you can partially see the Eiffel Tower & an outstanding Rue de Chaillot view. From the bedroom one, you can also enjoy the same landscape. There are a few chairs in the terrace. 

The is a corridor where wall closets & large storing cupboards/closets are available. In a near storing closet, cleaning material is available :  Hoover, Iron, Brooms,  vacuum cleaner (bagless/ high quality one).

There is 1 empty trash (for garbage) in the same floor.

The windows have a double glazing, which will make you enjoy a quiet and peace environment even if located in the city center. There are chairs in the living room terrace to enjoy the view. 

The apartment entrance door is armored, which makes the apartment completely secured.

There is a central/collective heater in the apartment, individual electric heaters & 1 oil heater.

ADDITIONAL FEES & RATES

There should be NO additional charges/fees. The amount paid initially is all inclusive.

Little city taxes may apply (you can pay them directly or we can do it for you). This will be discussed directly with the team.

Late check-in & early check-out are allowed for FREE upon request and when possible. Guardians are available 24h/7 & are very flexible about that.

Please note that the current rates (agreed with the agency) are discounted ones : about 43 % less than the initial rates offered in other websites (for the same apartment).

GUARDIANS :

There is a main lobby in the building with guardians available 24h/7. There are very helpful and will be happy to assist you for most of your requests (taxis, repair, keys, recommendations on where to go, what to buy...).
Along with cameras, they are there in order to take care of the security and protection of your family. The area is extremely safe. There will also be there to open the building door for you everytime you arrive.

The apartment & building keys will be provided on your arrival day. 

BOOKING

Following your booking, you will receive a welcome email along with a "Tenant Guide" that will give you detailed information about the apartment, the building, the amenities around, transportation, Paris (...). There will be also information about the deposit. The owner will be happy to assist, answer your requests & questions under 24h.

IMPORTANT NOTE/ USEFUL INFORMATION

Although they might be available in the apartment with no guarantee, towels &beddings (sheets/linens, pillowcases) are not provided.  We apologize for the inconvenience caused and kindly ask you to come up with yours - that would match more your needs... In addition to soaps & toilet paper that might be available in the apartment but that you can also purchase in one of the supermarkets nearby (same street). Some (6 to 8) duvets/coverbeds/blankets & pillows (5) are available in the apartment but there is no 100% guarantee whether they will perfectly meet your expectations.  

Please note that normally, there will be no parking spot offered with your rental. However, it is possible to obtain (for free) car spots in the parking of the building : On the day of your arrival, please directly liaise with the guardians/concierges who will let you know all the availabilities in the building & who will probably suggest you to park your car for free. There are also parkings very closeby. In addition, it is free to park in front of the building after 7.00 pm and at any time during the week-ends.

The decoration might have changed/improved somehow since the pictures have been taken (updated in January 2014).
