The CASA GERAZ DO LIMA, a holiday home to rent, was an old watermill, built in 1888 on a hill in Geraz do Lima, a village between the medieval towns of Ponte de Lima and Viana do Castelo, in the Minho area, northwest of Portugal.

GERAZ DO LIMA HOUSE, faces an amazing countryside scenery, and there are several footpaths and hiking areas around, as well as the medieval “Caminho de Santiago” (Way of St James), towards Santiago de Compostela, in Spain.

You can also enjoy the good food and green wine of the area, as well as experience the local traditional culture, have a game of golf in Axis Golf Club Ponte de Lima (9 miles away), do water sports in the Lima River (7 miles) or take surf lessons on the white sandy beaches in the sea coast nearby (10 miles).

Inside, the HOUSE has 2 floors: one with a large living room, dining room and kitchen (including a stove, oven, fridge, microwave, cutlery and kitchen utensils), and another floor with 2 bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other with2 single beds) and a bathroom.

On the outside there is a lovely garden, with views across the surrounding countryside, in total privacy. There is also a barbecue area and a large porch with a rustic wooden table and benches for outside meals.
