The lovely ,elegant and well-equipped 3 room suite (double-room,twin bed room, living-room with panoramic lodge, bath-room and kitchenette) / 2room suite (double-room, living-room with panoramic lodge, bath-room and kitchenette)….. is part of the little complex of Villa Paladino Solunto (5 romantic, bright, cozy  and full-equipped suites:3 three rooms for 4 people and 2 two rooms for 2 people), an holiday home of exceptional charm and prestige for the peculiarity of its site, by the unique characteristics in the area between Palermo and Cefalù. Just at the gates of Palermo, Villa Paladino Solunto smartly stands on a lush hill, emerging on the ridge of the wonderful promontory of Monte Catalfano, adjacent to the Natural Reserve full of different species of birds and innumerable species of plants too and to the Archaeological Park of Solunto, the famous Phoenician and Greek - Roman town.
Villa Paladino Solunto is a fascinating and enchanting site, between history and nature, a very peaceful place dominating the gulfs of Palermo and Cefalu, where adults and children can enjoy and spend unforgettable holidays. It is a perfect place for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing break thanks to the gorgeous setting with an incredible pool similar to a natural lake in the middle of a large Mediterranean garden rich in different species of birds (among them the superb Peregrine Falcon, so loved by Frederick II of Swabia, which nests on the Soluntine rocks) and countless species of plants, thanks to the great views down to Santa Flavia and the Gulfs of Palermo and Cefalù, thanks also the spectacular sunsets on the sea you can admire sitting on the benches and the deck chairs around the pool or under the shadow of a big olive tree, close to a palm tree, while eating a sweet fig or a prickly pear just picked.
The pool is shared with the other 4 suites inside the property. As people alternate relax in the pool with the tours of Palermo or nearby, a lot of times you don't find anybody in the pool and it is all for you.
You can look at the Gulf of Palermo and Monte Pellegrino too ("The most beautiful promontory of the world", said Goethe, the well known German  poet who came in Sicily in 19th century) from the windows of your bedrooms.
It is also a strategic point to easily go sightseeing Palermo, Monreale, Cefalù, Caccamo, Agrigento, Mozia, Selinunte, Erice, the Natural Reserve of Zingaro, the National Natural Madonie Park and many other places of great tourist interest.
The view of the sea embraces from Palermo to Cefalù until the high chain of Nebrodi and that over mountains reaches from Mount Pellegrino (Palermo) to the inner mountains of Sicily, the magnificent tops of Madonie (alt. m 2000), looking at the hills, the rocky promontories and the green valleys of  Bagheria and Santa Flavia too. On these panoramic luxuriant hills of Bagheria you can admire the Basilica Soluntina and a lot of beautiful eighteenth - century villas built by the best Sicilian nobility.
All this leaves everybody breathless in front to so great natural and cultural treasures. The incredible seasonal (April-October) pool similar to a natural lake with fountain allows adults and children to enjoy playing ball and read the favorite book, having great views down to Santa Flavia, the Gulfs of Palermo and Cefalù, Madonie and Conca D'Oro, looking at the unforgettable Sicilian sunsets too.
Unforgettable 3 hour-boat trips with skipper and fishing in the clear waters along the wonderful coast of Mongerbino and around the underwater archaeological site of Scoglio della Formica (the Rock of the Ant), home of dolphins, can be arranged not only in summer.
You can rent a (small) boat near my villa if you can drive it without a boat license.
You can also have 1dayboat trip up to the Aeolian Islands, Panarea and Stromboli (in my opinion the most beautiful of the 7 Aeolian Islands) or Lipari and Vulcano.
You can also have a romantic / group dinner on the boat.
You can have at your disposal a washing machine in the property. (E.8/wash)

It is very near to Palermo (Km.10, 30 minutes by car and 20 by train).
The distance from the Aeroport of Palermo (Punta Raisi) is about minutes 40 by motorroad
A large free parking inside the villa is available.
200 meters away from the Villa (5- 10 minutes by feet). you may visit the touristic village of Santa Flavia and the fishing villages of Porticello and S.Elia, full of shops, bar, restaurants and pizzerias, where you can taste delicious Sicilian dishes.
About 1 Km. away, driving along the quite panoramic coast road that goes past Sant’Elia and the Natural Reserve of Monte Catalfano, you’ll get the maritime village of Aspra and the promontory of Mongerbino, from which you can admire a breath-taking view on the gulf of Palermo and on Monte Pellegrino.
Thanks to the close National Road 113 and  Motorroad A.19 and A20, the Villa also a strategic point to easily go sightseeing Palermo, Monreale, Cefalù, Caccamo, Agrigento, Mozia, Selinunte, Erice, the Natural Reserve of Zingaro, the National Natural Madonie Park and many other places of great tourist interest.
In 30 minutes by car you can easily get to Palermo, the well known lido of Mondello and the Medieval town of Monreale, with the most beautiful and important Cathedral in the world too. You can also get to the well known touristic medieval town of Cefalù, with its marvelous beach and the Arab-Norman Cathedral, or to the enchanting Castle of Caccamo. Without never losing the view of the sea, within 1 hour you reach the spectacular National Natural Madonie Park (mt.2000 on the sea, the highest mountain chain in Sicily after Etna), paradise of rare protected animal and vegetables species.
As the train station of S. Flavia is close,you can easily go by train (15 minutes, E. 2,50/person) to Palermo and then go sightseeing Palermo by a red touristic bus (HOP ON-HOP OFF) that stops in the most important touristic places. The same pullman goes to the well-known Duomo of Monreale and the lovely beach of Mondello . You can easily go to Cefalù by train too.

 If you prefer, you can have at your disposal a taxi driver to go sightseeing Palermo and Sicily and for the transfer from the airport of Palermo/Trapani / Catania  and back

Don't worry about your first breakfast: you'll find some milk, coffee, fruit juice and snacks.
If you arrive very late and you're too tired to go to a pizzeria, you can find some pizzas and beer in your suite (on request)

The main Villa, planned by arch. Armò, was erected in the beginning of the last century by Domenico Paladino, famous Florio's cousin and nephew of the builder of the Royal Hunting Palace of King Ferdinando IV Borbone at Ficuzza's wood (Palermo). It is the meeting's center of the International Institute for Advanced Studies of Space Representation Sciences, which is intended at the activities which are performed.
