This place is full of charm and situated in a great area, and steps away from the Pantheon! We walked everywhere - the Colosseum & Baths of Caracalla, to the Vatican. The view from the terrace is unbeatable. As other reviews mentioned, the air conditioning unit downstairs is not in the bedroom, but leaving the bedroom door open solves that. We stayed in mid September for a week and only needed the A/C a couple times, there is a wonderful breeze through the windows. We had a small issue with the shower not draining, which Iryna came and fixed for us the next day. Also the water pressure was not the greatest - but it was our first time in Europe and maybe that is standard for older buildings on the top floor. The WiFi worked well and we were very thankful to have a washing machine. We would book this place again!

I stayed here for 7 weeks. The location is superb. Seeing the pantheon, arguably Rome's best monument, when coming and going is a rare treat. Being on the top floor with an outside terrazzo gives a great roof view, including the pantheon, and allows the afternoon cool breeze into the house in the evening and through the night. This is special, especially for those who like to sleep with windows open and no air conditioning. There is little street noise so the place is quiet. Only twice in 7 weeks did I get woken up in the middle of the night by party goers. Slept like a baby. The day bed up stairs is great for afternoon snooze. The kitchen is adequate, just. No oven and a huge dish washer, interesting reverse logic. The place is not shiny new, but certainly clean. Bathroom downstairs adjacent the bedroom is fine. Upstairs bathroom is very poorly designed and needs work. Two large tables to work from. So lots of plusses a few minuses. And Guglielmo is a gentleman, great service

This is a terrific apartment and I've stayed here several times in the past.  The location is central and yet the apartment is super quiet - you can hear the performance artists at the Pantheon if you open your windows, bringing the sounds of Rome in to your home, but if you close the windows, it is blessedly quiet. The highlight, of course, is the terrace, which has spectacular views and is just as represented in the pictures.  It also has the advantage of having a nice work/living space right off the terrace.  I work while I'm in rome, and this apartment allows me to work at my laptop while enjoying that marvelous view when I look up from my screen.  Unlike other apartments with rooftop terraces, in this one you can both enjoy the terrace and be protected from the elements - heat, cold, rain and the glare from the sun which makes working on a computer outside impossible. The only reason I wouldn't stay there again on my next trip to Rome if it is not available.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Pantheon Apartment in Rome. It was the perfect size for a couple, with space for relaxing upstairs on the roof deck and in the upstairs living areas. There are a lot of steps to the top of this very old building, so thank goodness for the modern, though tiny, elevator! For one or two people, this place is heaven. The central location, just a half block from the Pantheon, was very convenient to all of the sites we wanted to visit. The instructions were clear and everything worked perfectly.

This apartment was perfect for us.  We're a couple in our 60s, traveling by ourselves, in Rome to look at art and architecture.  The location was ideal, and the roof deck with the beautiful view of the Pantheon made it really special.  The company rep met us right on time and showed us all the details about the apartment, including a tiny but perfectly working elevator.  Everything went smoothly, we were able to buy groceries at a nearby shop and have our own food for times when we were too tired to go out, but the capuccino and croissant in the mornings around the corner was a wonderful treat.

Appartement atypique et plein de charme. La position est idéale. En plein centre de Rome dans un quartier touristique, certes, mais pittoresque. La terrasse est grande et magnifique. Profiter de la vue en sirotant un bon café ou en prenant l'apéro devant un coucher de soleil face au Panthéon. La vraie dolce vita !!! Un rafraîchissement de la cuisine serait nécessaire. Elle ne donne pas envie de préparer de bon petits plats de pâtes à la romaine... sinon nous avons passé un super séjour grâce à Rome, au beau temps et à ce superbe appart' aussi. One of a kind apartment with perfect location and great views! We were three guys and spent 7 days there. Everything was as advertised and no problems. It is so close to the Pantheon that you can hear the opera singers in the evening while enjoying a glass of whine on the terrace.

I highly recomend this place, went with my mom for 9 days. The location is priceless, you truly can do activities at any time of the day and take a break and continue with your day. We loved being able to buy food from the local markets and anticas and eat at the terrace looking at the pantheon and old city center. There is one main bedroom with loads of storage and a big main bathroom. The second bathroom is extremely small but if you just want to use the toilet it's just fine. All the sleeping accommodations are great, waking up looking at the Pantheon was breathtaking. Having a washer was also great. All the ammenities you need. You will love staying here

My husband and I stayed in this Rome apartment for 6 nights. It is a great location and easy to walk to all the major sites. The terrace is the highlight of the apartment and it is wonderful for sitting with a glass of wine and looking at the rooftops. Although overall fairly clean, the apartment could use some upkeep and attention, it has a neglected feel to it. The kitchen in particular is in need of some major care. The beds were ok and on the firmer side and the sheets and towels are economy hotel in quality, but serviceable. The bedroom's bed is the size of a double/full and upstairs window bed is a single and the sofa bed a full/double. I would not recommend it for two couples, as others have said, the bathroom upstairs is really not usable and the main bath is off the main bedroom. However, for a family with kids (over the age of 6) the space would be fine. There is not a hand rail for the stairs and some breakable items wouldn't make it appropriate for younger children.

Pros: The LOCATION is great. There are some steps in the ground foyer and some leading to the door of the apartment but having an elevator is great for getting you to the 6th floor. The general floor plan is unique and different and the accessories throughout the apartment are interesting. The shower pressure is good. The views are fabulous. Lots of great restaurants, gelato (Venti was our favorite), a grocery store (The Coop), taxi stand (right beside Pantheon), shopping, sites all within 3 minutes walking. I was worried about it being too touristy, it was busy but not bothersome. (it was October so it might be busier in summer) Loved the terrace and the bed at the window for relaxing.
Cons: The apartment needs some attention, it feels a bit worn and in need of some upkeep and updates. The whole apartment could use a new coat of paint and the framed art is starting to discolor. The kitchen is very worn out and dated, a paint job of the cabinets would help. The biggest issues are the counters were very dirty and in need of deep cleaning of the ridges around the sinks and stove. The frig. doesn't seem to seal closed so a new one is needed. We didn't use the kitchen at all other than for a couple of items in the frig. and the microwave to heat water for tea so it wasn't an issue for us, but for someone that would want a usable kitchen this apartment is not for you and wanted to let others know. The bathroom is fine, but the plastic shower curtain liner and hooks could use replacing.  Also, just use a bit of caution while standing in the shower, the bottom of the bathtub is slightly sloped and can throw you a little off balance.

We LOVED the location and terrace we are not high maintenance for accommodations so we enjoyed the apartment very much even with being a little disappointed with the kitchen and the general neglected feel. However, for those that are wanting something with more luxury this apartment isn't for you. I would recommend it based on location and the roof top terrace alone. Rome is just so wonderful, and the narrow streets in the area are fabulous.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is wonderful, just steps away from the Pantheon.  We were 4 adults and we were comfortable and happy.  The terrace is really lovely with a great view of the Pantheon.  Our contact person for the apartment was very helpful.  Our flight was very delayed and we kept in close touch with her and she was at the apartment to meet us when we arrived.  We would definitely stay here again.  I should note that it's really only a one-bathroom apartment.  The downstairs bathroom worked fine, although you can only access it through the main bedroom.  For the upstairs bathroom, the shower doesn't work and the toilet  is in such a small enclosure that you have to leave the door open if you want to use it.     Also one of the deck chairs was ripped and needs to be fixed.

A quirky apartment with with loads of character. Featuring 2 levels and an ambient top floor terrace with great views. An excellent central location near the Pantheon, a vibrant part of the city. We loved it.

Nous n'avions pas choisi cet appartement, mais comme celui que nous avions réservé s'est trouvé indisponible cinq jours avant la date de notre départ, l'agence roman reference nous a proposé celui-ci en solution de remplacement. Mon mari et moi l'avons occupé tout le mois de février et nous y avons reçu successivement nos enfants et de la famille. Nous avons donc été presque constamment deux couples d'adultes.
Comme d'autres l'ont déjà écrit, cet appartement est situé de façon idéale, absolument au centre de Rome et pourtant très calme. Il est sur deux niveaux, aménagé et décoré avec recherche et même avec élégance, et il a une grande terrasse avec une vue magnifique, presque panoramique. Il est équipé du nécessaire : la cuisinière fonctionne (sauf la plaque électrique et la hotte aspirante), la machine à laver fonctionne aussi mais le frigo est trop encastré sans aération et seule la partie basse refroidit, alors que la partie haute est chaude ! Les fenêtres ont du double vitrage et le chauffage marche bien : nous n'avons jamais eu froid même par temps pluvieux. Toutes les pièces sont très lumineuses, surtout à l'étage supérieur, évidemment.
La priorité semble avoir été donnée à l'esthétique plutôt qu'au pratique : ainsi il n'y a pas de rideau ni de store dans la verrière de la terrasse et on ne peut pas faire l'obscurité pour dormir. Les uns ont adoré s'endormir en regardant les étoiles, les autres ont détesté être réveillés au petit matin par le soleil levant.
Ce qui est regrettable, c'est que ce bel appartement plein de charme n'est pas entretenu comme il le mérite ; il semble laissé un peu à l'abandon et aurait besoin d'être rafraîchi. Certaines peintures vernis s'écaillent ; certaines portes de placard ferment mal, d'autres sont difficiles à ouvrir. Cet état d'abandon est surtout visible dans la salle de bain qui donne sur la terrasse : l'eau n'arrive pas à la pomme de douche, une antiquité. Et c'est préférable car il y a une prise électrique à 60 centimètres. Ce cabinet de toilette (WC et lavabo) est cependant utile et apporte une certaine autonomie à ceux qui dorment à l'étage mais ils sont obligés de traverser la chambre à coucher pour accéder à la véritable salle de bain et à la douche. Les plantes de la terrasse sont moribondes ; il y a bien un système d'arrosage automatique mais il est hors service.
Je ne voudrais pas que mon commentaire paraisse négatif : c'est seulement que j'ai trouvé attristant de laisser se dégrader un appartement qui pourrait être si beau car,
finalement, nous avons beaucoup aimé cet appartement qui ne ressemble à aucun autre et nous ne regrettons pas de l'avoir loué. Je salue au passage le professionnalisme de Roman reference et je remercie Iryna et Guglielmo  qui ont toujours répondu rapidement à nos demandes quand nous avons eu  besoin d'assistance.

I gave the apartment 4 stars based mostly on the location and the great rooftop terrace.  It was beautiful with a great view and a nice place to hangout in the warmer weather.  The kitchen was serviceable, but the washer was a little unreliable at times.  There is a nice big table downstairs and upstairs, but the one upstairs is only usable during the day because of the lack of lighting.  The couch in the TV room is comfortable, but there's no coffee table or side tables in the room.

The location was superb. We had a problem with the plumbing in the bathroom, but the keyholder arranged for a plumber to come the next day. The TV didn't work and is going to be fixed after our stay. The roof garden was spoiled because all of the plants were dead and this detracted from the area, however we loved the view from the roof. The kitchen could be improved with the addition of a kettle, and some more crockery.
In saying this I did like the area, it was easy to get around, we found that eating and drinking away from the square was more enjoyable (not to mention cheaper)

This is obviously an ideal location for anyone wanting to explore Rome from its historic core outward, and boasts one of the city's most distinctive and exceptional panoramic views. The terrace is as beautiful as the photos suggest and, aside from a wobbly sun shade requiring some caution and instinct to operate safely, is a great place for dinner parties, relaxing, and sunbathing. The master bedroom is comfortable and the ensuite convenient. Windows downstairs are very exposed to the other buildings' terraces, so if privacy is a big issue this may be a problem for you if you want to leave them open (wasn't for us). The Bang&Olufsen stereo sounds wonderful when hooked up to a computer or iPad (bring your own L/R plugs-headphone jack cable), but the CD player didn't work. Wifi worked very well. Piano was out of tune, but plays well enough for casual study/jamming. Kitchen has plenty closet space and functional stove but is not fully equipped, we had to buy cooking knives, cheese grater, wine glasses the first weekend (and of course there's no microwave, though if you're thinking about using one in the center of Rome, you belong somewhere at the bottom of Michelangelo's Last Judgment). If you're not planning to cook much you won't have a problem. We did ok once we bought the extra supplies. Washing machine is old but works fine. The upstairs area is very charming and unique (our Italian friends told us the owner is a well-known architect, and it shows), but the bathroom on the top floor is not acceptable for everyday use, it's more of a beach-style convenience with a low hanging shower and a miniature toilet, and doors which don't close fully.  It's a place that has great location and character, but on a medium term basis it's only really suitable for one couple, because of the limited privacy and convenience upstairs. I think in future I'll look for places further from the tourist center, as this place really emphasizes that side of the city (which of course is beautiful and buzzing, and may be exactly what you are looking for), over the kind of relaxed neighborhood experience you get from Trastevere or the northwest of the centro storico. But if you have means, don't mind older accommodation, and want to live right next door to one of the great monuments of Western civilization, this is a way to do it while having a much more personal and complete domestic experience than in the many elite hotels nearby. And it has a piano.
