HISTORY:
Centuries ago, a Roman Nobleman commissioned the building and designed the majestically high wooden rafter ceilings and created steps down from this apartment into the stables below (now the wine cellar). In those days the best floor -- the "piano Nobile," was the second floor. The servants stayed right above the horses and the master took the second floor and made it a duplex apartment for entertaining. The space has been renovated to include modern technology and amenities in order to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

This listing is a combination of two of my adjacent apartments: the Nobleman’s loft (MaxiRenella) and the Historic pad (MiniRenella). Combining the two apartments allows for large groups and families to stay together in one of the city’s most vibrant and authentic neighborhoods. You won't find a more majestic private home in Rome your family or group.

Unfortunately this apartment is definitely not suitable for a party or event or workshop as it is in a very quiet building with strict rules against noise. Also the home is ancient and quite easily damaged.  However the home is PERFECT for a large group or family visit to Rome. Sleeps 8 in regular beds and 12 using the sofabed and foldouts, with PLENTY of room to create an improvised extra bedroom if needed.

The Noblemans' loft has space for 4 couples: three of the bedrooms have a double bed and their own ensuite bathroom, and the fourth room has two single beds and a bathroom with its own shower. There’s also a double sofa-bed in the living room by the fireplace. In addition, we can provide two more beds to create a fifth bedroom if required. The Nobleman’s loft boasts huge 25-foot ceilings with the original hardwood rafters still intact and beautiful cotto floors, as well as a state of the art stereo system and spacious living areas complete with a working fireplace.
