We are very sorry for your uncomfortable experience,unfortunately we have had some problems with the builder and other stuff.
We know it isn't a justification...sure enough we've made allowance, of course.
Anyway we' ve moved up to accomodate and suit the flat.
Now it's everithing fine and clean comprise the new kitchen stuff, new bedclothes and pillows.
Waiting for the next one, we are sure everithing will be all right

as far as I know, we were the first tenants after the owner put the flat up for rent (which we did not know beforehand) - apparently the flat had been painted just before we moved in - and smelled terrible during our whole stay, while the owner left the old furniture, kitchen stuff and appliances uncleaned and partly unusable in the flat. There were no curtains and the kitchen was really unusable (very dirty fridge and microwave, plates, etc.) , as much as e.g. the bathroom door could not be closed, just to name a few things - it is worth mentioning that it is in the third floor of the back staircase of an apartment building without elevator. Generally the flat would have the potential to be nice and is very well located near the metro, a small supermarket, etc. - even walking to the Arc de Triomphe is possible in ca. 20 min.
