APARTMENT ROME - COLOSSEO- Via Cavour - # 921
Comfortable apartment set few minutes walk from Santa Maria Maggiore, and the Coliseum, near transports that will allow you to reach the other parts if the city, near shops and restaurants:
60m2 apartment with terrace set on the 6th floor with elevator ( only until the 5th floor about 10 steps to the 6th floor) is composed of :
LIVING ROOM
With sofa, armchairs, cable TV, cd player, table and chairs, AC, kitchen corner, door window leading to the terrace;
KITCHEN CORNER
Fully equipped with gas stove, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, cupboards and utensils;
2 BEDROOMS
1-With full bed, wardrobe, chair, AC, single extra bed can be added, window;
2- With single bed;
BATHROOM
With shower, washbasin, bidet, hair dryer, wc;
TERRACE
With table and chairs, potted plants;
Independent heating, AC, cable TV, cd player, hair dryer, Internet, terrace, elevator ( until the 5th floor)
PLEASE NOTE: the use of the AC/heating is not included in the price. The electricity will be checked upon arrival and departure and every kilowatt is 0,27 euro.
-The elevator goes to the 5th floor only.
-the cleaning lady will come to the terrace to water the plants once a week, she will not pass through the apartment, she uses an outer set of stairs.
-Damage deposit of 150 euro on arrival
-There is a tax of two euros per person up to 10 days of stay except for children under 10 years

Apartment Owner's Notes and Description
A double room with bathroom, a living room with kitchenette, a single bedroom with another bathroom and a terrace of about seventy square meters.
Since there are 2 air conditioners, to the price should be added the electricity that has to be read together at the arrival and at the departure and every kilowatt is 0,27 euro.
There is elevator until the 5th floor and thena some stairs to reach the 6th floor.
FYI: Check ins after 8,30pm are charged and extra fee of 20- EURO, 30- euro after 10,30pm, 40 euros after midnight.

We did enjoy our stay in Via Cavour apartment in Rome. It's located really ideally in a short distance from the major attractions of Rome. The neighborhood was especially pleasant with lots of small good restaurants and artisan shops. The large terrace with numerous plants and a great view to the monument of Victor Emanuel II and to the presidential palace were a real treat of the apartment. We had many sunny breakfasts and lunches on the terrace.
The owner couple who lived next under our department was very friendly and helpful letting us to lend utensils we needed from their kitchen. We actually made friends with them and they even started to plan a trip to Finland next summer.
Though there were some negative aspects too.
The traffic of the Via Cavour is very noisy even in the night time disturbing the sleep. The garbage trucks start there work at bout 4:30 AM and the normal daytime traffic is at its height at about 5:00 AM.
The apartment is so called penthouse and the ceiling at the other side is quite low, so you have to be careful all the time not to hit your head to the ceiling beams.
The double bed was also a little short even though we are not very tall persons.
Considering the negative aspects and comparing our experiences of the other apartments in Rome I should say the apartment may be a little over priced.

Dear Pekka and Leena, it was very nice meeting you and having you to stay with us in our penthouse in via Cavour. Following your suggestions we have decided to do a discount of the 15% when we rent. Regarding the traffic, there is nothing to do, to live in the Centro Storico, near the Fori Imperiali, it has fantastic advantages like going everywhere just walking, but the bad side is that there is some traffic, even though I do'nt find it so terrible!!!
