We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the apartment, it was very big and is in a lovely area from which it is easy to get to wherever you need to go in Rome. The owner is very kind and helpful and we especially enjoyed the lovely restaurants near by. The kitchen could have been a little bit cleaner and the bed was very squeaky but overall it was a fantastic place to stay!

We found this apartment extremely comfortable, stylish and convenient - for us, this one of the very best apartments we have rented. It is in Testaccio, at the Trastevere end of the Via Marmorata, with a bus stop at the end of the road (about 10 mins to P Venezia) or a 10 min walk to Pyramide station of the Metro Linea B, so although it isn't right in the centre of Rome, it is very easy to get there and you also miss out the 'tourist trap' feel. Although it's a lively area, the apartment is very quiet and we hardly noticed any traffic noise at all, even though it is on the ground floor.
The apartment is just as shown in the photos: high-ceilinged, clean and stylish decor, comfortable living room, good-sized bathroom and well-equipped, galley-style kitchen with gas cooker, oven, fridge-freezer and washing machine. Plenty of storage and large bedroom, with comfortable double-bed. TV in every room!
There are plenty of good local shops (a small supermarket called Sidis is just about 100 yards to the left when you exit the apartment building), and you feel you are in a real, working neighbourhood. There is a well-known local market just round the corner, where you can get fresh produce when it is open and plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars if you want to eat out.
Valeria, the owner, is really friendly, thoughtful and very efficient - our queries by email were answered straight away and she took a lot of trouble to make sure everything was OK for us, even taking us for a drive around the city one evening, to help us get our bearings. Having worked in the UK, she speaks English fluently and helped make our stay a very happy one.
We would definitely stay again the next time we are in Rome!
