Soft hills smooth fields and empty beaches - South Sweden offers everything to relieve stress and reload your batteries. The apartment is about 4 km outside of the small village Degeberga (supermarket, doctor, pharmacy, a coffee-shop, a pizza-place). It is situated up in the hills in a remote area. Directly behind the house you can start exploring the surrounding forests go on a ride on with mountain bike. (2 bikes are available for rent).
The apartment has been entirely renovated in 2013. The “old soul” of the house is newly polished and you now enjoy all mod cons as well. The apartment itself has two entrances and all 3 rooms can be entered separately. The kitchen provides a big dinning place with space for up to 6 people. A step out of the door you’ll find a terrace for barbeques. Spend your evenings outside chilling in front of an open fire. The nature park “Forsakar” with its famous waterfalls is within walking distance. There is an 18-hole golf course on the age of Degaberga as well as an open air bath. Only 10 minutes by car and you’ll reach the sandy beach of the Baltic Sea. The charming district capital Kristianstad invites for a shopping tour in its inner city pedestrian area – easy to reach by car or by bike via the old railroad which was turned into a comfortable cycle track.
For those who are keen on discovering the landscape from of the Henning Mankell books, Ystad is just a stone’s throw away. Lund the so called “city of students” offers an incomparable view of approximately 500 years university life - Lund University, established 1666, is today one of Scandinavia's largest institutions for education and research.
You can easily reach South Sweden with flying into Copenhagen (Denmark) and then take the train or rent a car. Heading into Sweden that way – you’ll get one extra: you’ll cross the astonishing Öresund-Bridge (approximately 8 km) which connects the Scandinavian Peninsula with continental Europe.
