The apartment is located in the Aventino-Testaccio neighbourhood a charming district that still maintains many of the traditional aspects of the city and is a great place to relax and escape the bustle of tourist spots despite its close location to the centre of the city. The Aventine is the most southerly of Rome’s seven hills. At the bottom of the Hill is Piazza della Bocca della Verità, once the site of the ¬cattle market of ancient Rome. On top of the hill you can find Parco Savello, the perfect destination for those after a get away from the city and a picnic overlooking the river towards the Vatican. Close to the apartment is Piramide di Caio Cestio, the tomb of a Roman officer, Gaius Cestius, buried here in 12BC. Testaccio is best described as a genuine Roman working-class district. It is one of the liveliest areas in Rome, with theatres, a cinema, restaurants and a great nightlife. The district is filled with sights and attractions as well as a market and plenty of restaurants and other food options. The great transport links make it possible to get to anywhere in the city with ease.

This is a wonderful, modern, very clean apartment with fabulous views of Rome, good access by bus and metro, and a very gracious owner.  We can't wait to return.  There are several good neighborhood
bars and restaurants nearby; don't miss Totti's restaurant (Core de Roma) just down the street.

Great Stay...perfect location. Easy walk to Coliseum, ancient Rome, Subway. Very friendly and quick to service. Beautiful view. The entry is a bit different on roof top. Perfect for small family or couples. It was cluttered so we moved some items into cupbords. Overall a great location and easy to get around Rome. Plumbing is touchy but works well. Has everything you need for a short or long stay.

We stayed at Donatella's appartment in a hot August and we enjoyed every moment in it.
The appartment looks exactly as the site and everything is very clean and well maintained. We arrived late at night on a Sunday, so we were very happy to find basic stuff in the kitchen - salt, sugar, coffee, pasta - left by previous people and left by Donatella. You'll also find a very rich bar of drinks and other supplies (wine, millk, coffee capsules) with very reasonable prices.
The air-conidition works great (it was a 37-38 outside and cool inside the appartment) and beds are very comfortable. The living-room is very spacious and with 3 children there was place for everybody.
Connection with the center of Rome is easy with the 628 bus to Piazza Venezia just 3 minutes walk from there (arrives around every 15 minutes) or by the San Giovanni metro station which is 15 min walk.
The restaurant of Francesco Totti, the famous italian football player, is down the street and serves very good itlaian food at half the price you'll find in the center - very practical for dinner with the children after a busy tourism day.
There's a supermarket just across the street with everything needed for breakfast or lunch and a very nice Salumeria with great anti-pasti just around the corner.
And the view over Rome from the 10th floor is exceptional.
Donatella and her son are very nice and will help you with all your needs.
The only thing that can be imporved is the outside space. Very nice to sit in the evening, but needs more attention to be really great.
In summary - more than recommended, one of the best appartments we've ever stayed in.

The apartment is spectacular. It is clean and well equipped and in a nice location. Donatella is a very friendly and helpful host. She responded to e-mail queries quickly, helped us arrange a transfer on arrival and gave us a useful briefing on Rome. On leaving, due to a potential taxi drivers strike, she drove us to Termini station as she was worried we might miss our train. Thank you Donatella - hopefully we will be back.

Having stayed in many apartments in cities across Europe I would have to say that this apartment was thes best and delivered everything it promised. The views are stunning and the level of cleanliness and decor couldn't be faulted.  The owners couldn't have been more helpful and contributed to a wonderful stay..

The aparment was exactly as advertised. It was vibrant, large, clean, well equipped, and the views were amazing.

Location is ideal if you don't like to be stick in the middle of touristy areas (which I do not). Closest Metro is about a 10-15 minute walk and there are several places to choose to eat from within 5 minutes walk.

The only reason they recieved 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the way we felt rushed when it came time for check-out. I had mentioned to Donatella that we had a evening flight and wanted to know if it was ok if we checked out later at 4pm. She had told us that would be OK, however on the day we were to depart, we were told at 9:30am that we needed to be out by before 10am so that they could prepare the apartment for the next guests which were arriving early at 11am and that we could keep our luggage in her apartment below. I will chalk this one up to language barriers. Other than that it was a great apartment.

This flat is fantastic! It has panoramic views that allow you to see the dome of St Peter's Church in The Vatican, lit up at night. You can see the Forum and the parks that line the Appian Way as well as the beautiful hills to the south of Rome. Donatella and her son Marco could not be more charming or more helpful. There are excellent restaurants within easy walking distance and a lovely, friendly market should you wish to use the well equipped kitchen. The grocers opposite is especially friendly. We stayed here with my 13 year old daughter and we were all enchanted. It was lovely. We will definitely be coming back to Rome and would stay here again.

My aunt and I stayed in this apartment during our first trip to Rome and it was wonderful! Everything that the pictures and description promise (and more) were waiting for us upon arrival. It was very clean, chic, and comfortable. We were impressed with the full service kitchen and appliances as well as, of course, the panaramic view!
The apartment is a comfortable distance from all major attractions by bus or metro (about 15 minutes). Donatella was very welcoming, even offering us a plate of pasta when we arrived (& sweets on St. Joesph's Day)! Her son Marco, who spoke excellent English, was an immense help as well. It got a little cool at night seeing as there are so many windows, but there were plenty of blankets stocked in the closet. Renters will need to set up a time to do laundry, as the laundry machines are in a locked cabinet.
We had a great time and felt very much at home during our stay. Grazie mile!

Wonderful apartment with beautiful sun-filled roooms.  I managed to get up early to see the beautifful sunrise from behind the moutains a couple of times but wasn't around to catch the sunset.
It might get a bit cold due to the amount of windows but there are 2 air heaters and 3 wall heaters.  You'll be fine in bed with the warm comforter.
January is italy's coldest month but there were no lines to any of the many sights I went to see.
There is a good resturant across the street- "22quattro" and you can walk to ancient Rome if you have a good map and are the type who likes to walk.
Donatella the owner, is very friendly and always answered her phone.
No problems here at all.
