Good appartement, with Cons and pros. When we arrived, we had to wait 1 hour to get the key. The appartment was fine at arrival. The refrigerator was however not cleaned as there was still food in this from the owner. Also water cooker was missing. The wireless internet was not working, because we did not have the code. There was however wired internet, but with ipads there was no connection. The friendly owner came and tried to find the code, but succeeded not in finding the code, sø the WiFi newer got to work, this was too bad as thus was one of the reasons to choose the appartment. We asked the bureau if a discount was possible for this but had no aswer for that. Also the shower in one of the bathrooms was broken. The tenant living under the appartment came up and complained that he could hear us walking on the floor. He has to sleep during the day, becauce he has a restaurant, and he said that he had asked the owner to put on soft carpets to avoid noise, and had a layer involved.. Appart from the problems above the appartment has a fine roof terrace with a view to the dome of snt peter, and the appartment is filled with private artworks from the owner. Reccomended for the roof terrace, do however not think we will choose it the next time in Rome. Here we will choose a place closer to the centre.

We rent the apartment from 4/30/11 to 5/6/11. The apartment has lots of pros and cons. 1- The apartment has a very convenient location. It is close to the Metro station (CIPRO) about 5 min of walking and close to the supermarket CARREFOUR also about 5 min of walking. The supermarket has almost every thing you need for basic daily need. From the apartment, if walking it may take about 10 min to get to Vatican museum and 15 min to St Petro basilica. 2- Close to the metro station, there are 2 internet cafes. It is cheap about 1 Euro/hr. Fast enough to check emails and download basic things. 3- The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood and has good security (you need 3 different keys for 3 entrance doors to get inside the apartment). 4- There are lots of restaurants and bars close by within walking distance. 5- There are at least 4 banks (BANCOMARCHE, UNICREDIT and 2 more I don't recall the names) but none of them can exchange the money. So if you don't have debit card and have cash only, it will be a big problem. I actually had to go to Plaza of Spagna or St. Pietro basilica to find a place for money exchange. If you have a debit card then you can cash anywhere because there are a lots of ATM everywhere. 6. Inside the apartment, there is an adequately equipped kitchen to prepare for a hot meal. However there is no microwave. 7- There are 2 full bathrooms: 1 with standing shower and 1 with hot tub. The bathroom with standing shower has big problem with draining. We were warned that clogging is the common thing in Rome because the plumbing system is very old. It was really disappointed because after the shower, we had to mop the floor and it took forever to drain the water. The other bathroom with the hot tub is better but there is no shower curtain and you still have to mop the floor after the shower. 8- There are 2 ceiling lights in the apartment. but 1 light worked for the first day only, then it kept blinking. Luckily, after a few days it was no longer working. Although the apartment was dimer, it was better than when the light in the room kept blinking. 9- There are 2 airconditioners, which are properly working. 10- The transaction with Paola is simple and straighforward. Maria helped us to check in and she was very informative and helpful. She gave us her cell phone number to call in case of emergency. We later tried to call her to report the draining problem and the light blinking in the room to have them fixed but we never got the answer from her phone. We gave up. In conclusion, we enjoyed our stay because we spent more time outside than inside. If the problems were fixed then the apartment would be a very good deal. BUT... you get what you pay for.

The apartment was very dirty on arrival; there was no wardrobe or space to store clothing; overall -the impressions were poor. The cleaning lady came though on demand -after calling Paula -which was very nice of her.
Manager's reply: the apartment has been cleaned one hour after the complaint, therefore it wasn't ditry anymore. The booking was made for 6 persons and 7 guests came instead, creating some problems, and at departure the apartment was left in a very bad condition.

the original description I read said it could sleep 6, which I think is a bit of an exaggeration and would certainly disappoint 6 adults.
- the "two kitchens" notation is not really true
- the lack of a toilet seat in the main bathroom is a problem
- the owner might want to stock the apt with some ear plugs since one of the neighbours has a loud TV on virtually all night.
On the positive side, I suggest you stress:
- the terrace - a real bonus
- the Trionfale Market being so close
- the Cipro Metro station being two blocks away
- the entrance to the Vatican Museum being only 3 blocks away
- the clothes washer which makes a big difference when traveling
- the wifi link
I would also like to note that Enzo was a pleasure to work with and that the owner was very helpful when we had a problem with the wifi connection.
