This apartment has a fantastic location. We know Rome well and this part of the Centro Storico is by far our favorite area.
The apartment is very quiet (bedroom looking into the inner courtyard). However, it would be much nicer if the terrace and loggia had been cleaned and all the stinging nessels removed from the pots (and maybe replaced by some "real" plants). The washing machine (which we didn't use) is a really bad joke. We didn't use the kitchen (there are way too many good restaurants in Rome to bother wth cooking yourself) but it would have been nice if the glasses in the cupboards had been cleaned ... With a little more attention to detail this would be a really good place for your stay in Rome.

Everything in the pictures and guest comments is as we found the apartment as well. I would underscore the excellent location that allowed easy walking to the attractions, the lively street scene around this old renaissance quarter and that City Reference' service was reliable and responsive. With farmers markets, carrefours, specialty food stores close by, and restaurants everywhere, eating in or out is simple. There's also a lavanderia around the corner.

Very spacious, excellant location, nice terrace.
Feels lived in, not a hotel type apartment but enough
room to unpack everything.

The appartment is really very special as it is full with art and design furniture. It is rather spacious and at an excellent spot in Roma, in the middle of life, but with a quiet sleeping room at the back. Nice is also the little terrace, where we could sit outside during the hot lunch time.
So we can recommend it.
For Roman Reference to know:
We - probably as Germans - would have appreciated a bit more cleaning, it was basically ok, but in detail we felt there was room for improvement (windows, cormers, ...)
And of course the story with the low maintenance of the equipment: the washing mashine was broken, the air ventilator in the kitchen above the stove was broken, there was no air conditioning, just a big fan, which was missleading in the Internet, the shower curtain was rotten - we exchanged it - and the automatic watering of the flowers on the terrace caused an always wet floor, which in the end led to lime from the water and the nice red tiles will be white in a few years. Anyway, all this of course happens when the owner does not care what goes on and so all these details are not maintained.
Nevertheless we really enjoyed the stay and where happy and impressed by the friendlyness of the people of RomanReference.
THANKS a lot

The apartment has a good standard and is situated in a very nice area. Some noise from construction work in the early morning, and we were not able not understand how the laundry machine could function.

Fantastic location- walk to all major sites, good sized apartment, fairly quiet, close to good shops, market and restaurants, a bit dusty possibly from adjacent building renovations. Courtyard not maintained adequately, but would return to this apartment.

Location amazing. Apartment attractive - essentially a walk-through U-shape with a nice terrace off the study area. Lovely lounge overlooks a lively narrow street, bedroom basic but good enough, bathroom spacious. Could not get enough hot water for a bath but shower was fine. No street noise is heard in the bedroom, the construction noise heard some mornings (mostly workmen singing - even some opera!) mostly just served as an alarm call. There's an even closer supermarket - just around the corner - than given in the information on the flat . Roman reference were very helpful. We would love to return.

Roman Reference was a pleasure to deal with. I would use their services as well as this apartment again. Enzo (the keyholder) was terrific in making sure all of our questions were answered.
The apartment location was perfect - within walking distance of major sites. Lively at night but not noisy. The bedroom faces the courtyard and not the street. There was construction in an adjacent apartment that lasted for a few hours each morning. That's not something they can control, but next time I'd ask the keyholder (before I rent) if they know of any construction in the building.
The pictures on the website are accurate, though the terrace and it's landscaping needed a little spring cleaning. You're definitely in someone's apartment as opposed to a property that's only used for tourists, but the owner is an artist and the apartment is so beautifully decorated. We also had plenty of space for our own things.
Everything worked: elevators, hot water, internet, tv. Washing machine was hard to find but Enzo came back to help us locate and operate it.
I was very pleased.

Very nice apartment in a good location.
Unfortunately the noise from the building work in the building behind the apartment was very disturbing every morning from 7.30 A.M.

The apartment is beautiful and in a FANTASTIC location. Street/people noises go to at least 1am and construction toward the back started by 8am.
