The location was good. The management team were great. Be aware of a very key notice, that this apartment is partially underground. Location was first priority at that time and this fit the need. However, after our stay, we felt we could not stay another night as we could never air out the space enough to remove the strong underground earthy smell. Also, the shower is much smaller than a phone booth, so don't drop the soap. You can't bend over to pick it up. The clean up after was a nuisance but not the deal breaker. In other words, one needs a kayak to exit the shower as ALL of the water waits on the floor to be cleaned up. If all that matters is location and management team, this is the place for you. If you have a sensitive nose, it won't work.

This is a great little apartment in a great neighborhood, where we stayed for five weeks this summer. The apartment is very comfortable and safe (separate keys for a gate, the front door, the hallway, and the apartment door). The best part for me was that it stayed cool – despite the lack of air conditioning – even on hot days. Having wifi was a huge plus as well. We also cooked quite a bit and the kitchen was great. The cons for us were that the shower leaked a bit and drying our clothes was difficult. There is also some noise from the neighbors, although never late at night. The location is wonderful, because it is walking distance to major attractions, yet removed enough from the beaten path that you can successfully avoid tourist traps. You really feel like you’re coming home at night. We tried nearly all of the Vaticano restaurant and café recommendations provided by Roman Reference, and they were all fantastic. I would add that the wine store across the street from this apartment, Enoteca Del Frate, is not to be missed, and for an excellent meal nearby, try Dino and Toni’s on Via dei Leone. I definitely recommend this apartment, especially for an extended stay like ours. Regardless, I would definitely use Roman Reference again; their staff was extremely courteous, flexible, and helpful.
