The positives of this apartment are:
– Great location by the Campo Dei Fiori and Trastevere areas
– Apartment felt very secure
– Great hot water
– More space than a hotel room (but the extra space is not very practical)

The negatives of this apartment are:
– It was never stated that we would be sharing the apartment with an elderly couple (they were in the room next to the bedroom). While we didn't see them, we felt that our privacy was compromised.

– The bed was basically unusable. Neither of us could sleep. It was a very flimsy matress with no box spring. It would have been fine for a petite single person, but not for a couple.

– There was no supply of towels, soap, linens, and toilet paper. We had to buy soap and toilet paper. The towels and bath mat, while clean, had a deep funk to them after one or two uses.

– Everything felt very old and used. In general, there was a mustiness to the place.

– The shower head needs to be replaced. Period.

To summarize, it was not very private nor comfortable. That said, if you are a single traveler looking for a safe place to stay and can deal with a little discomfort, this is a fine place.

Déjà une mention spéciale à la très accueillante et disponible équipe de Cities Reference. L'appartement est magnifiquement situé et la propriétaire (qui parle couramment français est adorable). Cet appartement convient parfaitement le temps d'un week-end prolongé au cours duquel mis à part les petitsdéjeuners que vous prendrez sur la somptueuse terrasse vous n'y ferez qu'y dormir et prendrez vos repas à l'extérieur. Si l'appartement est très propre, un petit regret car il a un peu vieilli, quelques aménagements et il serait beaucoup plus fonctionnel. Un accès Wifi serait un grand plus.

A great area to stay close to the river and a supermarket opposite.Plenty of room and very light and airy.
The use of the roof top garden is an added bonus.
Kitchen very basic but managable.I would recommend this apartment .A great place to come home to after a hectic day sight seeing in Rome.
Owner Adele a beautiful lady and very helpful.

Centrally located flat, very poor inventory, absolute lack of comfort, depressing. Charming landlady.

It was the best out of three we have rented within the same area. The only critique relates to the very spare and simple kitchen utensils. There was no kitchen knifes and dinnerware were spare as well. The owmen was very kind, but we did not discuss these matters with her. The ambience of the place and the good taste of the furnishing and adornment was highly appreciated. We would certainly consider to rent the same appartment next time in rome.

The owner of this apartment, Adele, is a charming lady who after showing me around and giving me the keys, respected my privacy and left me to continue my holiday in peace. Adele also gave me helpful information on walks in the area and was happy to provide information when requested. I found the apartment to be quiet, clean, comfortable and in a good location.

Die Lage der Wohnung ist fantastisch und absolut ruhig, und die Dachterrasse bietet einen grandiosen Ausblick auf die Dächer von Rom. Dafür ist die Wohnung selbst sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Sie entspricht nicht den vorliegenden Angaben, die vorgeben, dass die Terrasse von der Wohnung aus zu betreten sei, und nicht über das allgemeine Treppenhaus ins höhere Dachgeschoss. Die sogenannte Küche war ärmlich eingerichtet und wirklich nur zum Teekochen geeignet, und das Bett im Schlafzimmer war für zwei Personen eher wie eine Hängematte. Dabei waren die kleinen (sehr hellhörigen) Räume nur über ausserhalb liegende Flurfenster belichtet. Einzig von Wert in dieser Wohnung waren sicherlich die vielen bestimmt interessanten Bücher in den vollgestopften Bücherregalen der Wohnungsinhaberin.

Unsere Bewertung von RomanReference und der gebuchten Wohnung fällt denkbar schlecht aus.Grundsätzlich können wir nur davon abraten im Voraus zu zahlen.Besser erst die Wohnung selber in Augenschein nehmen und für den Notfall einige Alternativen bereithalten, da Sie mit CitiesReference unserer Erfahrung nach nicht zählen dürfen. Falsche Angaben zur Wohnung stellen einen Vertragsbruch dar. Wozu habe ich eine Vermittlungsgebühr von 215,81Euro gezahlt, um mich dann im Regen stehen zu lassen? Ohne mit Details zu langweilen kann ich den Zustand der Wohnung nur als deprimierend bezeichnen: keine direkten Fenster, die untergemieteten Zimmer sind nicht abschließbar, kein direkter Zugang zur Terrasse(außer für die Vermieterin), Küche nebst spärlichem Inventar und die meisten Möbel sind defekt, dreckig und gehören auf die Müllkippe. Das Vergnügen der Dachterrasse wurde ebenfalls durch verschmutzte Möbel und Ungeziefer stark geschmälert. Eine zweistündige Reinigung und ein Preisnachlaß von drei Tagesmieten konnten all den Ärger, die Umstände und die leider vergebliche Suche nach einer anderen Unterkunft nicht wiedergutmachen. Um meine Kritik besser einschätzen zu können läßt sich sagen, daß ich in einem berliner Altbau wohne, also nicht besonders verwöhnt bin und auch weis, was man in dieser Preiskategorie in Rom erwarten darf. Service und Gastfreundschaft? Jetzt mache ich lieber Schluß Signora Cambria und Roman"Reference".

This is my idea of a perfect apartment in Rome. It is on the top floor of a modern apartment building with a dependable elevator. As a result, it is absolutely quiet and wonderfully sunlit. Location could not be better: two steps from the Campo de' Fiori and its market, only a little farther to the Piazza Navona, about the same distance to Trastevere over the Ponte Sisto (right out the door) or to the transit hub at the Largo Argentina. It is within walking distance of at least a dozen excellent restaurants, and has a small supermarket directly across the street for supplies and cooking in. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. The owner is a generous and interesting woman: a journalist, poet, and playwright, who goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and comfortable.

Questo appartamento è per me l'ideale appartamento a Roma. Si trova all’ultimo piano di un edificio moderno con ascensore. Quindi, è tranquillo e pieno di sole. Una ubicazione migliore non c'è: due passi dal Campo de' Fiori, lo stesso per la Piazza Navona, Trastevere (via il ponte Sisto quasi da fronte), oppure il centro di trasporti communi al Largo Argentina. È facile camminare a una dozzina di ristoranti eccellenti, e c'è anche un supermercato proprio di fronte se volete cucinare a casa. Le camere sono ampie e confortabili. La patrona è una persona generosa e interessante: giornalista, poeta, e drammatista, che si sforza di farvi sentire benvenuti e a vostro agio.

The apartment is centrally located with easy access to public transportation. We enjoyed our stay and Mrs. Cambria is a very nice lady.

Die Lage der Wohnung ist phantastisch - so wie gewünscht. Ebenso die Terrasse mit einem traumhaften Ausblick auf ganz Rom. - Völlig ungenügend ist hingegen die Ausstattung der Küche und demzufolge unbrauchbar, falls man gehofft hatte, auf dem nahen Markt einzukaufen und dann selber kochen zu können. - Die Lage der Zimmer ist auch gewöhnungsbedürftig: Man fühlt sich leicht "ausgestellt" und wie in einem Aquarium...
Da wir letztes Mal viel schöner gewohnt haben, im gleichen Quartier, können wir unsere Enttäuschung nicht ganz verhehlen!

An excellently situated flat with a very kind landlady. Good supermarket nearby. Bathroom was very good, but kitchen facilities were not luxurious. We cooked with one pan and one frying pan - no oven. The fridge and gas kettle both worked well. We bought washing up liquid and scourer. Hot water was good.

We loved the apartment! It has a fabulous location, blocks from Farnese and the Campo, barely yards from Trastevere. The appointment is spare, but it is most functional. The bathroom is large, and the water heater worked beautifully. The wonderful thing about the apartment is the rooftop terrace, with a magnificent view of St. Peter's to the north. The owner, Adele, is most circumspect, and used her rooftop entrance rather than walk through the hallway while we were in the apartment. The location is brilliant, and we would love to make a habit of staying at the apartment--we would live on the rooftop if we could.

Location couldn't be better;reasonable price for area and accomodation; clean and roomy. My brother and I really enjoyed our stay - the owners were more than helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
